So thankful
I never thought I’d be so thankful for a piece if plastic but my crushed ice, that I’m obsessed with broke on my fridge. I’m so obsessed with crushed ice that I told my husband I was going to go get a new refrigerator, he got right on it, ordered this part, it arrived in a flash, he put it on immediately only took maybe 20 minutes for him to install it and tada crushed ice again :) I was only without my crushed ice for maybe 3 or 4 days.

Like the OEM one
Like the OEM one made of plastic which all seem to crack and break after about two years have purchased two of these cheaper by far than the one Frigidare sells will order another when this one breaks.

Worked Great
Received in 2 days of ordering. Took about 20 minutes to install, works great. Product was identical to the original on the refrigerator. Hopefully it will last awhile. Ordering another to have in stock.

Seems to be the real deal
Seems to be the real OEM part, so of course it does the job great. Of course, the OEM part is failure-prone, which is why we are buying this part for replacement, and this is no better than the original ????. One thing that I found helpful to know is that when replacing this part, few installation videos mention that the white wedge on the end of the blades has to be trapped by this cover in a pocket that this has for that wedge.

And now I have crushed ice again...
While I would not really say this was hard to install, it certainly was not easy to get all the parts to line back up and go back together. I watched a couple of YouTube videos before trying and got it installed. However, I missed getting one part exactly right, causing intermittent crushed ice and a bulge in the side fo the housing. Luckily, I figured it out, took everything back apart and get it working. I'd say, had I done it right the first time, it was maybe a 20-30 minute job, after watching the videos. It certainly beat paying $135 for a new ice tray, when the only bad part was a cheaply built piece of plastic.

Frigidaire ought to make this piece in metal.
Happens TOO MANY times to too many people. Has broken 3 times on two refrigerators for us. Needs to be made sturdier by Frigidaire. This piece is NOT an easy install and I used a YouTube video to go step-by-step. But, $32 is much cheaper than the $109 for replacing the entire basket. Worth a try. Too, I have some very good glue which I am going to experiment on fixing the broken piece.....for when this replacement BREAKS....and it will in time !!!

Perfect fit.
This proved to be the exact replacement for the one that broke on my OEM ice basket. It was reasonably easy to remove the damaged part and install this replacement. All the holes lined up and there was only mild difficulty in getting all the pieces back into the right places. (I've done this sort of repair on other devices.) So the suggestion is that you should be comfortable with this sort of repair -- it is not 100% self-evident how things go together, etc. However, if you take your time and look over the project before and after disassembly/reassembly, it should go well. The replacement part appeared, in all respects, identical to the OEM product. I hope it proves more durable. My original unit apparently broke when too many ice chunks entered the crusher, causing the "door" (that selects crushed or cubed ice) to break. It would have been "nice" had the "door" been offered separately, (as that would have been a much easier repair and a much less expensive part) but this "assembly" was the only way this part was offered.
