Great bit. How not to kill yourself on the packaging-

So, if you're opening this package, you might be tempted to try to grab the bit and pull. You'll have two nice deep slices on your fingers in no time. Its really easy to get out if you don't do this. Tear the sticker off the sides where it says Pull Here. Then, take a small screw driver or something round and thin, and just push the bit out of the plastic from the bottom. There's a hole for this. Why they don't draw attention to it, I'll never know. Oh, and these bits are awesome and better quality than just about any cheap bit you'll find on here.

Just what I needed

Bit performed excellently, only wish it were longer

This bit worked very well in cutting a notch across the longer width of a pressure treated 4x6. With the use of a gig, I got a nice clean cut. I only wish they made a longer bit, like they do for the 1/2". The 1 1/4" depth left me to use a chainsaw to cut the remaining portion.

Works great, nice to see Diablo is still making quality products, not like the others jobbing to some Chinese factory to make low quality junk.

Good quality drill bit, used it to drill quite a few holes and it is sharp, precise, no wood burn (did not rush the job, did it in several passes). Drill still looks like almost new. Recommended.

Worth the extra money for the genuine "Freud" item - the router-bit is sharp and long lasting. Cheaper bits wear-prematurely when used with hardwoods
