Everyone I know loves these gloves!

I have bought these for everyone and their mother as a Christmas gift. They are truly exceptional gloves. We have owned them 4+ years and buy replacements when we need to. They are extremely warm, soft, and you can have Snowball fights in them. While not water proof, they still retain heat when moist if you are active. I use these on my daily walks at 4:30am; they keep the tips of my fingers warm. I also take these snowshoeing or out on various winter expeditions. You will not be disappointed unless you buy the wrong size.

Great low cost wool mittens.

They are just a basic, sturdy all wool mitten that didn't break the bank. They were great for my wife's small hands.

WARMEST MITTENS EVER

These mittens are absolutely THEE BEST!!! They are double thickness,WARM, soft and a nice oatmeal colour! I LOVE these mittens, and have been wearing them for many years when I do winter hiking (now that Im retired, I hike EVERY DAY!!) I accidently came across them years ago while Xmas shopping in Old Forge,NY…and I tell anyone who will listen about them and their warmth (they make great gifts too!????) The double thickness keeps you warm in the cold NY winters! I Strongly recommend them!!

As described and true to size

Im not sure what some reviewers had issue with. Maybe there were quality control issues in the past but in my experience the mittens were exactly as described. I sized up just a bit being in between sizes and had plenty of room to spare. I even ran them through the washer and dryer to try and shrink them a hair so the size guide was spot on for me. They are not waterproof but being heavy wool, they are pretty water resistant. Wind is another thing though. On a very breezy day, it will cut strait through. That said, on a calm day I find them comfortable down to 25F or so. I have had frost bite in 6 fingers during my mountaineering days and have been diagnosed with Raynaud's and these work better for me than very expensive mountaineering gloves, assuming the wind is calm.

Very helpful.....

When you suffer a stroke, the affected side of your body no longer functions as it once did or even not at all. Your fingers lose all feeling and control. Wearing gloves, even trying to put one on the affected hand is a task in itself. So I purchased these mittons for use on my dead hand while I can stiĺl wear a glove on my functioning hand. I've worn them twice now and very, very happy with their fit and protection of my hand during severe cold temperatures.

Wonderful mittens

These mittens are wonderfully soft, warm, and just what I was looking for. I have fibromyalgia and need the warmest mittens I could find. I found them ! Do not hesitate to purchase these..You will love them !

Fit snug

I am a woman and I bought a size small in these mitts. They definitely run on the smaller side. I wouldn't consider my hands to be large at all so I assumed a men's small would fit perfect. I'm typically a womans medium when it comes to womans gloves and mitts. My fingers and thumbs all are touching the edge of these mitts and they feel a little snug but are not uncomfortable. The inside offers a nice barrier between the wool and your skin so they aren't itchy. The tag is irritating though so I cut it off. When I first put these on I thought they were not going to be very warm because they seem to not be a very small or tight knit. However, by the end of my walk my face was numb but my hands were sweating and were very warm. It was about 0°out today and a mild wind. I'm not sure how they will hold up in the much, much colder winter weather though.

Not wool. Fakes.

They are very warm but certainly not made of wool. I know what wool feels like and these are not even made of 50% wool. They do not seem made of wool at all. Wool is hairy and scratchy to the touch but not silky. I give 2 stars for being warm but they need to used as a liner inside a bigger leather or nylon mitt as they are not windproof. If you want real wool look elsewhere. Not Fox River for sure. A burn test should be performed on the fabric.

Not quite there

when I ordered these things I was expecting perhaps a little bit more I wanted Woolen mittens apparently the other shell is just 85% wool and the inner shell has a little bit of wool in it. I wanted to completely wool mittens didn't get them. So far however they seem to be warm enough but it is only late autumn. Canada will offer more cold soon.

Too small

I followed the measurement guide provided and order large size mittens as I was on the higher end of the medium size scale. Mittens are too small, actually cut off circulation to my thumbs and wrists are tight. I am not a big guy either, I don't know in what country these would be considered large.
