Better shoe strings and they would be perfect.

Good work shoe where comfort and steel toe is needed. Good for doing a lot of walking. Knocked one star aff because shoe strings will wear out in about 7 months of daily use and there are no OE replacements.

Great work shoes!

My job requires everyone to wear steel-toed shoes. I had previously worn normal work boots, bought from a retail store, that only carried regular width shoes(Sears). Because I have wide feet, I've been buying shoes at least a size bigger, to fit my wide feet. The salesman at Sears(thanks!)told me to check Sears.com. Well, I buy a lot of my favorite classical music from...Amazon. I had no idea Amazon sold shoes, and I had no idea you can buy wide shoes online. Anyway, I'm buying all my shoes from Amazon from now on. I bought a pair of shoes in the wrong size, sent them back, return postage pre-paid, to Amazon. Totally stress-free. Wonderful! I'm on my feet, on concrete, in a warehouse, 11 hours a day. Regular steel-toe work boots are okay, even if they fit good. These Florsheim shoes are far superior to any boots(I've gone through quite a few)because they are so comfortable to walk around in, and they feel softer around the feet, like regular walking shoes. After 11 hours on my feet, I'm ready to go walking for exercise with my wife in these shoes. After these wear out, I'm buying another pair. I just love them.

Excellent shoe, goes the distance plus some

A little history: Im on my feet from 6:30 to 4:30, 5 days a week and beat the crap out of my shoes Im lucky if I get 6 months out of most shoes This is the 2nd pair The 1st went 2 years!, and could have went longer There was no sign of the soles separating from the upper at all Not as much wear on the soles as I would think, after 2 years Really impressive shoes, and comfortable

This is my 3rd pair of these shoes, each pair has lasted me a minimum of3 years, with this last pair I have wore since 2011, its not because the shoes wear out that I replace them, in fact this last pair the soles are still in good shape along with the uppers. it is the amount of abuse they take from my job, they get covered in ink and grime and after a while they become many colors, they are still comfortable and I keep the old pair and use them when I am working in the yard, digging or mowing since they are water proof. These are steal toe or composite which are a requirement where I work, they have saved my toes on at least one occasion, I would recommend this manufacturer.

Still going strong.

Worn for a few months. Oddly, laces broke and need to be replaced. After looking at them closer, they were not very sturdy and thus an expected added expense. Sole showing little wear-there is some wear on the sole near the transition to leather - probably from my use. Uppers remain mostly intact. The extra width is appreciated.

Not as comfortable as I'd like. Also laces broke after about 6 weeks.

High Quality Shoes (ESD rated)

My husband loves these shoes. This is his 4th pair and he will try no others. He had problems with shoes hurting his feet for many years but these shoes can be worn daily for 2+ yrs and not hurt his feet. They meet the ESD requriements (dissipative) for working with electronics and they have composite toe safety feature (though title states steel toe). His company reimburses him for work shoes every 2 yrs - he will continue buying these shoes - even if the company stopped the reimbursement!
