Power Steering Hose is FREE now!

Old power steering hose. Tried using my flare nut wrench on it, started to round the corners off the nut. Clamped this on tight, a little muscle, and it finally came loose! The tool I never knew I needed.

To whoever designed this wrench, Bravo!!!

At the price I paid for this 10LW, I almost stole it. What a value! This is the Mac Daddy version of the 4US which is one of my favorite tools and THE Go-to wrench for cracking open tight and rusty hydraulic fittings like on brakes and clutches. I really like the adjuster at the tail of the wrench. It bites with extreme force without damaging fragile fittings. This wrench is a lot bigger and chunkier than I thought it would be, so I unfortunately won't be able to use it for the application I bought it for, but it still gets 5-stars because of its quality build, action and material. I won't return it, I'll keep it just because the little model is so phenomenal This big one looks and feels fantastic in my hand. The action is really nice. Looks like it'll last a lifetime if cared for. I'm going to have to use the smaller wrench (Amazon's description below) with a thin metal pipe extension for more torque to break loose an oil pressure sender that's been on my iron engine block for 40 years. That'll be a real test of its durability. I'll buy another one even if I break it, it's paid for itself 50-100x over again for what I've done with it already and I'm just a normal person who likes to work on my own cars. I have to say it's invaluable for anyone replacing brake lines, brake cylinders, clutch cylinders or lines, and not wanting to risk damaging fittings and/or stripping/rounding off bolts, or paying hundreds or thousands of dollars in labor. It made what were probably impossible jobs to do (for me) into a pleasurable successful repair. IRWIN Tools VISE-GRIP Locking Wrench with Wire Cutter (4US) I just realized I don't have the 7LW...maybe I'll get one for Christmas. :)

It didn't quite get the job done...

I bought this tool to remove a tubing nut that was only accessible with a 2 sided open end wrench. I was able to get a good 3 sided grip on the nut which was what i was after. However, in spite of having a good grip i was still unable to turn the nut no matter how hard I pulled. I ended up cutting the tube out with a hacksaw and then putting the part in a vice and then i needed a torch to heat it up, an 18" pipe wrench with a 2 foot extension on it to finally get that nut to turn. So i guess it is a good tool but not up to the task i had in mind so into the tool box it goes to wait for another opportunity to prove its usefulness.

Dont do brake lines without this.

I can not believe how well these work I bought some flair nut wrenches along with this they couldn't get it done this thing saved the day.

This is the intermediate size which limits it's use to smaller items, probably the smallest model I'll use for smooth grip (non) teeth. Built well.

favorite vice grip

the bull nose vise is a gripper.... well worth adding to tool box when you need the steady grab or lock down on a bolt.... there is something about the grip of the flat face .... really works well...

Good tool

A very useful addition to the tool box. Poor finish to item lets it down slightly. Hence only four stars. Still good for price paid.

Good solid strog mole grips for holding a circular pipe or bolt Jaws especially moulded to hold those tricky circular things, great for removing bolts or a pipe, as long as distortion is considered, possibly wrap a clth arounf first to avoid a scratch. Had so may needs, but price is rather high, do bought with my birthday money as a tool treat. Very useful indeed.

Superb.

These things are simply superb. Grip on all sorts of things - yes, nuts etc, but also fully circular bars and such - without marring them, and let you walk away while they maintain that grip. Buy!

Buy this. Use it. Wonder why the hell it took you so long to get one. I own a Land Rover Defender, a Bmw 1150gsa and a 12 ton ex-military Leyland Daf T244. I need quality tools that do the job properly. This wrench does. Thanks.
