Love this Osprey pack!
It used to be true that you get what you pay for but these days there are so many posh brands out there selling garbage for a premium. Yes this Osprey pack has a premium price tag but it is well deserving. I’m a 25+ year mountain biker and I’ve been through a number of hydration packs and this one suits me better than any. It has a rigid frame, which at first concerned me. After wearing it though I realized it wasn’t noticeable at all. The webbing across the back serves to keep the frame away from your body while also holding the pack slightly off your body. No more super hot sweaty back that acts like a water heater to your hydration pack. There are bigger packs with more storage pockets and do-dads but I put this pack to the test right away going for 30+ mile back country rides. The reservoir held the right amount of water and I had more than what I needed in the pack. Never felt the weight of the pack at all. You won’t be disappointed with this one.

great product
This hydration backpack is great. Middle of the pack size which makes it very versatile, including for casual use. design is great, color is strategic, straps are sturdy and comfortable, waist straps can be somehow hidden for casual use. hydration system seems fine, on par with camelbak systems in terms of quality. I was between this and camelbak mule pro. but … This is way better than the camelbak imo … ps: and it comes with a rain cover

Best hydration pack available
I LOVE this pack! I purchased a couple different ones before deciding this was best for me. It has more room than the Camelbak Mule 12, it also has a quick disconnect so you don't have to take the hose out everytime you fill it. The tool storage area is designed nicely. Overall, this pack looks good, is quite functional. The best feature is the "Airspeed mesh" it is tight and keeps the pack away from your back so you don't get sweaty. I don't understand why Osprey doesn't use this system on ALL their packs. I feel it is a bit overpriced, but everything is these days. Buy it. You won't regret it.

Rugged, Comfortable, Spacious
My primary use for this pack is mountain biking. We ride on the aggressive end of what the industry would now label "Trail" riding. We take the jumps and drops seriously and will stop to session park features. Consequently, our riding sometimes involves crashes. I'm usually the mule when we ride, too. So I'm carrying the extra tools, parts, and the layers my wife has shed. This pack has been rugged, comfortable, and spacious enough to work spring through fall in Wisconsin and wherever we have roamed. One design complaint: The included bladder features a hose that has a quick disconnect feature, such that you can re-fill the bladder without having to thread the hose out of the pack. You snap the hose free from the bladder, fill the bladder, drop it back in the pack, and reconnect the hose. However, the disconnector rides alongside the clip that keeps the bladder from sagging down into the bottom of the pack. And on multiple rides the clip has released the hose. Each time I went to quench my thirst, all I'd get is air. I'd have to stop, reconnect the hose, and resume riding. If it happened once I would have thought I had not reconnected the hose properly. But it happens somewhat regularly. Poor design.

Why did I wait?
As a heavy sweating guy when hiking or biking, I had been searching for a bag that would hold everything (including plenty of water) and be really well ventilated and I finally found it with this bag! I was nervous about the 12L being enough space for everything as I had been using 20L+ bags, but after 30+ outings, I will say I have a very packed bag, but not had any issues taking everything along with me for the ride or for a hike. I have also seen other comments about the water bag having issues, but I want to say that I have had no functional issues with it whatsoever on any of my outings. (only would note the normal plastic-y taste the first couple uses - find remedies online for that) Overall I would highly recommend purchasing this bag and don't hesitate as much as I did, it's totally worth it.

AWESOME pack.
This pack is great! Great materials, solidly assembled. The fact that it has a rigid frame and provides a gap between the pack and your back, allows air through and your back doesn't get as hot. And the pack won't get as sweaty. I use mine mainly for mountain biking. It's the perfect size for extended rides (or hikes). Water bladder is 2.5L, and lots of compartments for tools, snacks, first aid, etc. I've taken several hard falls on mine, and still no damage. The only thing it lacks is the water bladder compartment is not insulated. But definitely not a deal breaker. And the integrated rain cover is great for wet riding/hiking. This pack is worth every penny!

Exactly what I wanted/expected - added bonus more useful than I anticipated
I have several Hiking Osprey packs - and this one meets the quality and functionality I expected and value. First time using the mesh/off the back system for mountain biking and I love it. I like the bag so much it has become my water solution for hiking when I don't need my 22l day pack. If it fits your price range and size range - go for it

Awesome but flawed
Great ventilation and storage options but flawed by design, at least for me. The mesh suspension really works and keeps my back from overheating. The numerous pockets are well thought out and placed. The one HUGE flaw for the pack for me, as a mountain biker, is that the wire frame physically blocks me from looking upwards, further down the trail, on steep descents. I am 5'9" with a shorter than average torso so I believe that the pack rides higher than most people. Additionally I wear a POC Tectal helmet which has additional coverage towards the lower part of the back of my head. The combination of these factors makes the pack uncomfortable and dangerous for me to wear. I really wanted to like this pack but no combination of chest/waist strap settings could hold the pack in place while also not holding the pack so high up my back that it would cause interference with the back of my helmet and the wire frame. If it were not for this singular issue I would love this pack however because of its design flaw I've already had to move onto another pack after only using it 2 times.
