Good quality for a low price.

This light fixture is very good for the price. With that said, I would have preferred if the fixture was made of metal instead of plastic. I am slightly concerned about the integrity of the plastic over time and weather, but the price is very good and the quality is also good. Installation is super simple and you will have no problems at all. The photocell works very well and turns the lights on at dusk and off at dawn. I have found that this fixture works better than photocell inserts that I have used in the past and doesn't even cost more. FOUR STARS (one star removed for plastic construction) STRONG RECOMMENDATION

Not fully waterproof

Make sure your electrician (or you, if it's a DIY install) pays attention to the vertical orientation of the base. Mine didn't, and installed it upside down. While the light will function just fine that way and this mistake in fact won't be noticeable at first, eventually rain will fry the photocell circuit inside, rendering the entire unit useless *until* the circuit is removed and the cables rewired turning it into a regular on/off light.

Great light!

We installed several safety and security features at our home and this is probably my favorite. No longer do I wonder what animal or person is lurking in the back yard and sides of the house. This is so bright that I no longer need to turn my back porch light on, plus I can see every far corner of my large yard and the dark sides. The auto on/off works so well so I don't have to remember to do this myself, as we'd often forget and pay more in electricity previously. My handyman advised me to place it high up under the roof in each corner where the side of the roof meets the back line of the roof, hence maximizing the illuminated area (He climbed into the attic to do the wiring). Best advice ever, as my initial direction to him was to place in front of the house on either side of the garage. My friends noticed the brightness and now want it too.

WORKS AS ADVERISED

So far it works as advertised. The feel and look of it is average at best. This was put on the second floor fascia where you would never notice it.It has been through a couple of rainy days and it was tested and worked.

Great Purchase

We have had this fixture for the better part of a year now and have been very happy with it the entire time. Installation was simple and quick. It has worked reliably from day one and the convenience of the dusk to dawn sensor is amazing; no more forgetting to turn on or off the light on our own. I really don't have anything bad to say about it, especially having first purchased a fixture from Lowe's that required small halogen tubes that were ridiculously expensive and burned out almost weekly. That was a nightmare and this is a dream, a light that just WORKS! The fixture is pretty gentle on bulbs, we haven't had to replace a single one yet. Highly recommended! Update 2/26/15 Still working flawlessly! We've also not had to replace a bulb yet.

No Wall Mount Provided?!

Be aware that this light does not come with all necessary equipment to install. There are many many sizes of wall mounts, if your previous wall mount (or if this is a new light) does not match exactly the holes on this light your out of luck. Also if your wall mount sticks out half an inch like most do, this fixture will not lie flush with your wall - you need a flat mount. I got it to work fine, but what I thought would be a 20-minute installation turned in several hours and ended up having to custom make a wall mount after not being able to find another that was the right size for this one. Once all done, it works, it's a light, it turns on, it turns off. It's inexpensive and it looks inexpensive, finally make sure to get some appropriate silicone caulk, it's far from the "weatherproof" it claims.

Great light

This was easy to install, it's been up for over a year, we put yellow bug floodlights in it to illuminate our backyard and keep moths & mosquitos from being attracted to it. It's on the East side of our Las Vegas home so it gets full 100° sun for 5-6 months of the year, we get really bad winds that cause property damage & it's stood up to that as well. We also get monsoon rains and since it's not under a patio it is being hit directly by the elements & still works and looks great. I love that it comes on at dusk, next I'll buy a couple for the side yard that have motion sensor capability.

Great quality/value for price.

I must say for the low price I am quite happy with this product. Everything you need is included, installation was a snap (I was replacing existing floodlights) I hope this brand outlasts the replaced units. Day/Night is the way to go!
