Rohrgewindebohrer aus Kohlenstoffstahl sind zum Reinigen und/oder Wiedereinfädeln von beschädigten oder verklemmten Rohren konzipiert Rohrgewinde Auch „Rohrgewindebohrer“ genannt, eignen sich National-Rohrkegelgewindebohrer zum Gewindeschneiden einer Vielzahl von Materialien, sowohl Eisen- als auch Nichteisenmetallen. Die Nenngröße eines Rohrhahns ist die des anzubohrenden Rohranschlussstücks und nicht die tatsächliche Größe des Hahns. Das Gewinde verjüngt sich um 3/4 Zoll pro Fuß. Alle Rohrgewindebohrer sind mit einer 2-1/2 bis 3-1/2 Gewindefase ausgestattet. Nicht für Gewinde ist die Verwendung eines „Dichtungsmittels“ wie Teflonband oder Rohrmasse erforderlich.

Worked good for my needs

I only needed a 1 inch tap for a plumbing repair but the price for this whole set was similar to just a single one inch tap at a local big box store. I used it to clean out corroded threads in a galvanized in-ground fitting so I could replace a broken section of water line. It did the trick, is still sharp, and saved me from a bunch more digging. Thanks!

Nice set for chasing damaged threads.

Since these are not HSS, they would struggle to tap new threads into ferrous material, but they work great to chase damaged threads in steel or cast iron. They would although work well to cut new threads in softer materials. They are nicely machined, sharp and come in a nice wooden box.

Case is garbage, tap worked fine.

Packaging was not damaged in shipping, in fact it was double boxed. The wooden case was falling apart before I opened it, and when I opened it the lid came apart and one of the pieces holding the taps was not attached. The tap I used today worked fine, but k will need to find another way to store them.

Difficult to find pipe tap size.

Bought this to clean up threads on my hot water tank drain/anode in my RV. The 3/4" tap was needed. I could not find a vendor in my area that had this size. Plus, what I did find were not cheap. So, this kit is more than I needed, compared to replacing the hot water tank to fix my issue, it was a bargain!

Great Quality

Have not used these yet but I trust the quality to be high. These come in a wooden box, with metal hinge. Excellent package. Feels like a good investment in a tool that I will have for lifetime. Thank you.

Make sure you know what thread type, course, fine or very fine, before ordering

High quality and cleanly built, unfortunately couldn’t use these taps because I wanted the fine threads and these were course threads, and the product description didn’t state that fact so I had to return them..

Worked for me

Only used the 1/2 inch so far to clean the threads out on my motorhome hot water drain plug. Works good on the aluminum but can't tell you much more.

La boite s' est ouverte dans le transport . Les tarauds étaient libres dans l' enveloppe . Un élastique sur la boite de bois serait mieux. Livraison rapide . Les tarauds étaient intactes malgré tout .
