Cute!
For the money, it's a fun dress to wear for a special event - e.g. Armed Forces Day parade. I was skeptical when I saw it in the bag, but it will be fun to wear. The red tulle on the bottom is only a fringe so you're in your own if you want to put a fuller slip underneath.

Great costume!!! Lots of compliments! Go up a size for busty girls.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dress. I got a million compliments on it and will likely wear it again for future events. I am 5'11", 175 lbs. and I'm a solid size 12. I ordered the Large but didn't pay attention to the bust recommdations. I'm much wider in the hips and not what I consider busty but I kinda sorta wish I had gone up ansize because my 34 C/D's were definitely smooshed in there. Ultimately, I pulled it off but I would have probably been happier with more room up top. But that's not a complaint, more an observation because the dress otherwise fit wonderfully. Something else to note, the sailor cap/hat is smaller than I thought it would be. I had to cut a teeny hole in the top to be able to bobby pin the hat to my hair. It worked great once I did that. I definitely recommend this product!

Great quality at low price
This costume was even better than I anticipated. The details are more than the photos reflect, and the material is a quality polyester, so minimal wrinkling. It is not cheesy. The collar will need some minor steaming. I thought the hat was fine, contrary to other reviews. Just might need a little iron and filling out is all. It fit without sliding off or requiring bobby pins. If you have big hair, you might need to pin. I got a size small, and I'm 5'2 about 115 pounds. 34D, 25" waist, 35" hips. Excellent fit and no gaps at the arms. No bra in my case, but will figure out something else in case it is cold. :) Length was just what I wanted, as I don't like shorter dresses (this is a midi length). It is an A-line, but not puffy. It drapes well. You could put a netted tulle skirt under for fullness for a more retro look, but it truly is not necessary. I think you will love it, and the price is good for the quality.

Perfect!
This was such a cute costume! I was very happy with it when it came in. It was very flattering and the skirt was so long and flowy. Reminded me of the 1950s style. It’s a very comfortable and stretchy material. Definitely well-made and worth the price. This isn’t one of those cheaply made costumes that just looks thrown together. You can still tell it’s a costume material so I don’t think you can pull it off as just an average dress but it is very nice for a costume. It’s much more modest than the other dresses you’ll find like this and I love that. It is pretty low-cut but it doesn’t look obnoxious. I still prefer to wear a tank underneath but I tried it on without it at first and it wasn’t bad at all.

Be ready to stitch
Mine came with a small hole in the seam (easy stitch if you know your way around a needle and thread). I also sewed the collar and bow down becuase they kept shifting to the side a bit. But the dress was stretchy (I'm pregnant) and cute. A bit more matronly than I am used to. The hat was meh, so I used one I had from an old sailor outfit.

I got it PERFECTLY. It's super cute and looks like it cost more than it does. It does NOT look cheap. The hat had two quarter sized holes in top which was disappointing but I had ordered short notice and recieved it with only one day to spare and couldn't have done anything about it. The fabric is a thick slinky material. The cleavage was a modest or office safe kind of sexy and did not show my every day bra there or at the under arm. It has some stretch to it and the medium was a good fit when I am normally a small or medium. It wasn't too tight in my larger areas or too loose in my smaller areas. Just form fitting. It is very flattering. I am 5'3" and 135 pounds. I wear small or medium depending on the fit. I have a large bust (32DD or F) and a smaller waist with larger hips. I bought the medium.

So pretty, very nice quality
Costume is exactly as portrayed. Good quality material and workmanship. The hat is adorable and comes with small internal loops so you can pin it in place. I took both so the dress and the hat to the cleaners for pressing only. It came out perfectly. I wore this costume to a Halloween ballroom dancing event. It moves beautifully. I did not wear a crinoline, but I believe a red one would look very nice with it. I am 5’2”” and weigh 128 lbs. 34DD. I ordered a medium to fit me in the chest. Everything was perfect with one exception. For me the armholes were too large, showing my bra. I wore a black one to minimize the distraction.

Not Happy Anymore!
I purchased this dress the end of February, for and event taking place today April 28th, I looked at it held it up I could tell it would be perfect... when I put it on I found a hole under the collar & a small hole in the skirt...both holes are runner holes so this will only get worse, i love the fit, comfort, everything except that it is too late to return it, I'm sure it's been worn before & I felt like it was new, I believe the hole in the collar was most likely where someone had a pin .. it's my fault should have inspected it closer...if you purchase check it out right away!

Go up one size.
Good quality for a costume. I usually take a size large. I am 5'6" and 174lbs and i wear 38B bra. I ordered large and it fits Snug. Not good for big breasts. I added a white ribbon around the waste and it looks good.
