Another journey starting off on the right foot
I'm pretty much a Doc lifer. I started wearing them in my earliest retail gigs and have never stopped even though the jobs have gotten better. That said, my pair that these are replacing have been through fire, snow, rain, mud, dust, ice, and pretty much everything else you can throw at them. I abused them to death and had to get the new pair. they came out of the box and had the main fit as i expected. Slapped some Wonder Balm on the (ran out if Dubbin) and had them on the first night. It's taken me about 16-20 hours of solid wear, but they are breaking in nicely and are the same comfort level I expect. I have wide feet (normally buy EE in US sizing) and these don't pinch at all. I will say that i go a half size up rather than a half size down, but I like to wear thick socks in winter. Overall, it's like having a new pair of old friends. I can't wait to see where these go with me as their predecessors gave me a great base of a lot of adventure.

Too narrow since I wore Doc's about 20 years ago
Years ago I spent the biggest part of my work days on finished concrete floors. After struggling with assorted athletic shoes and boots I discovered Doc Martins. They were a Godsend in relieving shin splints and other related discomforts.! Now, more than 20 years later, I find myself working on linolium/concrete floors all day again. It causes even more discomfort now than it used to so I decided to try a pair of Docs. They were always hard to get broken in without blisters but I was prepared for that but now I require a shoe in a 'wide' size to fit comfortably. Doc Martins offer no choice in width. I ordered a pair to try anyway and, as I feared, they were too narrow for my feet. I also noticed quite a difference in the construction of the boot...not good differences. The upper still seems to be of very good quality leather but the footbed and the sole seemed designed for lighter duty than the ones I had years ago. I returned them because of the fit but I'd have given serious consideration to doing so on the strength of the apparent diminished quality of the soles. I was always frustrated with past Docs in that the soles would wear out long before the uppers. Trust me....there is NO WAY to get your Docs resoled with the original sole at a price less than 3 times the cost of a new pair (at least here in the USA).

Good for work, but also dressy
My 18 year old son loves these boots. He has been wearing them for 4 years now. He is on his 4th pair; they last about a year. He wears them 6 or 7 days a week. He wears them to school, to work, and on the farm. They never fall apart, but the tread gets very thin after a year of wear.

These are my husbands favorite winter boot.
My husband needed a winter boot and these have been his go-to for decades. They are durable, last forever and with the right sock, his feet are toasty all winter long. The soles of the shoe are exaggerated which is super helpful in deep, slippery snow - it also helps when he taps his feet to get the snow out of his soles. They aren't flashy, not bulky - they are classic & simplistic which is right up my husbands alley. This is the third pair he's had over a lifetime. They last and last. Highly recommend.

Run large and have a different fit than most Dr. Martins
The good: They look good and appear to very sturdy. The bad: they run very large, but this is a problem with Dr. Martens in some styles. The instep on the right boot is very tight, on the left boot it is slightly tight but wearable. I will probably have to take them to a shoe repair place just to get the right instep stretched. I have been buying Dr. Martins for 25 years and never had a pair with this fit, usually they are perfect or at least will be after they are broken in.

Fantastic boot
This is my 2nd pair of these. My first pair lasted for 15 years. They take a while to fully break in, but after that they are super comfortable. The leather is nicely oiled and of very high quality. A great buy even at full price.

Docs Only!
The 939 Ben fit perfect. Someone mentioned to size down when ordering and I did that. The boots fit great! Very little break in time.

Perfect boots
These are lovely boots. The leather is much softer than 'traditional' DMs. I'm a fan of the brand and these do not disappoint. Fit perfectly and great that they do half sizes. Really high quality, well made and so comfortable. I spent many years on the beat in a pair of DMs and I believe these will last for decades.b

Dr Martens rules!
Dr Martens, what can I say, you either love it or not! I have been on Dr Martens since University (+20 yrs ago). Most likely the most classic style boot you can buy! The leather is a good quality as usual but now, the ankle top portion seems to be synthetic leather. Anyway, I expect to have them for another 7-10 yrs as per the previous one!

Good quality, but size not as stated
A common problem with Doc Martens - the size isn't necessarily as stated. I ordered UK size 11 mens assuming so, but it appears to be larger than so with a lot of wiggle. I think a size down to a UK mens 10 would be a better fit. Other than the further need for some thick socks, I cannot yet fault these boots.

Nice boot, good quality
I really like the style of the boot, shipping was very fast. The only concern I have is if it'll be warm enough as im hoping to wear these for the winter, but the leather is a pretty thin. The picture was a little deceiving (guess that's what can happen buying shoes online) just going to have to wait and see when the cold comes.
