Great Bee Suit
This suit is well made and very bee proof. I wore it recently to work some very testy "hot" bees and had no problems with stings. Overall, it seemed a bit cooler than my previous bee jacket, but we will see how it is in July. January is the time of year of this writing. I like the fact that the zippers are super heavy duty and the elastic in the wrists and leg bottoms is also heavy duty but not uncomfortably tight. For a full body bee suit, it is very light weight but also appears to be durable. Overall, I am glad I bought this item and would recommend it to others.

Vented without stings!
Overall I am very happy with my Ultra Breeze Bee Suit. I purchased the XL size. I'm 5' 8" 185lb and the fit is just right. There are things I like and some I dislike but I will get to that in a little bit. I live in south Texas where it's really hot and humid during most of the bee season and for 3 years I used a bee jacket instead of a full suit. It was a economy version made out of heavy cotton so it offered protection but was really hot. About 3 weeks ago I was working a really aggressive hive and some bees got inside my jacket and I got stung pretty bad. I never ever wanted to get in a situation like that again so after much research, I purchased the Ultra Breeze Suit. It is by far the most expensive suit I considered. Upon arrival, I inspected it and the construction is first class. Made in the good ole USA. Probably one of the reasons the price is high. I put it to use the first day I got it. I worked that aggressive hive again and really enjoyed the piece of mind that this suit offers as far as being protected but also breathing. No suit is sting proof but these aggressive bees couldn't sting through the Ultra Breeze suit. The vented material is great. Even in the Texas heat, I didn't get too hot. Here are my likes: Top quality construction, made in USA, breaths well but protects from stings, extra long leg zippers, easy to move in, nice placement of all the pockets, no stings! Here are my dislikes: I'm not sure how long this suit will last. Material is fragile and easily damaged by a bee smoker. Material easily gets snagged on the brass zippers, branches or anything remotely sharp or rough, sharp brass zippers and the vented material shouldn't be used together. The makers of this suit need to look at the YKK zippers used on a $700 Western Mountaineering Sleeping bag. Much better than brass, just as durable and probably cheaper. Expensive compared to other suits. I've mentioned several times that this suit is expensive. After using it for a while and being able to stay cooler and not get stung , I think its worth the price. Even with my dislikes I would buy it again. This is an instance where you get what you pay for.

Workable Suit, Bulky Yet Cool in Hot Weather
The top veil/zipper connection needs some attention to make sure the velcro closes properly. I like the full length length side zippers. You can unzip from the top too to get at the keys you need to dig out of your pants too.

Not bad but not perfect
I am in Central Texas and have both top bar and lang hives. While I'm certain my bees are not Africanized (to any significant extent anyway), the top bars do increase the likelihood of getting stung. This is due to the tendency of these hives to cross comb. When you harvest (as I did this past weekend and today) you cannot avoid cutting into comb and exposing honey. This really upsets the bees and results in very aggressive robbing behavior. After suffering numerous stings through my other suits I decided to spend the money (a LOT of money) on the Ultra Breeze. Today was my first trip and the suit worked very well. No stings through the suit and it was significantly cooler (92 here today at 11 pm). However, as a result of some of the reviews and design of the hood, I decided to skip wearing my ball cap. Big mistake. When I bent over to remove a frame my nose touched the veil and I received a very painful sting right on the end of my nose. I have been stung many times but this hurt much worse than stings to my hands or torso. My point here is that I strongly recommend you wear a ball cap or other hat to ensure the veil stays away from your face. And for all you "tough guys" that work without gloves, suit or veil, please come to my place and show me how it is done. I'll be in my new Ultra Breeze suit watching the show.

Worth the price
I have two of these Ultra Breeze suits, and I recommend that you consider the quality of design and the excellent workmanship before you recoil at the price. This suit is designed by a beekeeper, and it is clear how very well it is designed when compared to other look-alike suits. If you need justification for the expenditure beyond your own comfort, consider the benefits to the bees of reduced stinging and the damage that causes. I have done a side-by-side examination of the Ultra Breeze and Look-Alike suits. The fabrics used in the Ultra Breeze suit are very high quality, and there is a noticeable difference in overall thickness of the three layers. The Ultra Breeze is about 50% thicker (better sting resistance). In spite of the thicker, between-fabric inner spacer, the Ultra Breeze is about a pound lighter overall. Airflow in the copycat suits is reduced by pockets made of closed weave fabric, unlike the Ultra Breeze mesh pockets. Also the neck area in the knock-off suit has virtually no ventilation because of an inner collar of closed weave fabric. For convenience in putting the suit on and taking it off, full-length zippers on both legs make this super easy to do without removing your shoes. The cuffs have elastic gathers that are easier to use than Velcro straps. Do you want to fuss with getting your suit on or off in the field, hopping around on one foot, or would you like to step in with your shoes on, zip up and get busy? I have had to return a look-alike once... Make sure that you receive a Genuine Ultra Breeze bee suit made in the USA.

Buy with caution
Seemed like a quality suit at first , it’s missing loops for your thumbs so u can pull your gloves on with ease , my wife has gotten stung in the face 3 times since we got it , the zippers have always been done up all the way and the bees still find there way through the little void that’s there , they should have a Velcro cover for this area !
