Color not as expected

Lamps were a good price, arrived quickly and we're well packaged. They even came with light bulbs which I wasn't expecting. Only disappoint was the overall color as I was expecting a deep blue and what I got was more of a purple. At first I thought maybe I was sent the wrong item but in reviewing the online pictures I can see where the purple comes in and the advertised blue is maybe shot in shadow. While it's not what I really wanted, I can make it work for what I need so I'm keeping them. The overall appearance and cost aren't worth the hassle of return.

Smaller than I thought they would be and a lot more purple blue in person

I bought these for either side of a bed in a room that featured a lot of blue and white, but ended up deciding they were both much smaller than I had hoped for and the color was clashing typical cobalt blue decor. This shade is more of a purple tinged blue that just looked a little off next to bolder true blues that I was hoping to match when I ordered them. We ended up using one on top of a flip open desk/secretary as an upgrade to an older touch lamp where it was also next to a busy painting with different colors (pictured) so it sort of worked ok there, and we are still honestly looking for a place that the other one might work in our house. The small size of it sort of limit where it will look normal to a small desk, secretary, sofa table, or side table type of space instead of nightstands or either sides of couches or anything where they could be featured a little more. When placed on nightstands (I tried) they just looked a little undersized and short. I think if your nightstands were just smaller minimalist ones though instead of bulky furniture it could maybe work of if your bed was lower. Since I was unable to use as a set of 2 together that bummed me out a little. The color difference between online and in person bummed me out too. I felt like this was a bit of a fail on my part as far as ordering things to decorate the house and I was just “trying to make it work” by walking them around the house. The quality in how they are made is totally fine, and they aren’t damaged or any issues like that. Overall I’d probably skip these. They seem a little overpriced for the color not matching the pictures online and for the very small size of them.

If they were the right color and size, it would be a 5 star product

I, like others made the mistake of not reading the reviews before ordering. Even after reading reviewers state the blue was more of a purple, I still was optimistic I could make it work with my teal and blue bedspread. It wasn't to be! Also even though the description states the package height sometimes that doesn't include the lamps shades so I didn't realize these were so small! They are too small to go with a King bed. I gave them to our 12 year old and he likes them for charging his devices so it worked okay with his bedroom having a neutral gray bedcover. The lamps themselves are made nicely and look good if you aren't looking for a true blue. The USB outlets work fine and are super convenient and I like that the cords are clear colored so they don't clash in a room. Don't forget you can use Amazon Smile when you shop to donate to your favorite charity! Nice lamps... but expect purple!

Just like the other reviews--these are nice lamps but the color is not blue as indicated. They are purple. See photos shared by other reviewers--they work if you want purple!

WHY, WHY, Why did I not read the reviews?????

They are purple and not even a dark purple that you could think maybe the quality control people were just are a bit color blind. Nope they are light purple!!! SIxty eight dollars, are you kidding me? I got mine much cheaper because they were returned. Usually things are returned because they don’t fit in to your decor…not the case here. They are purple and the metal pieces are not on straight that’s why they were returned.. Very cheaply made. Beware of this manufacturer.

Guess I'm the only one who received blue?

Lots of other people are getting purple so I was worried they'd arrive purple. But mine showed up blue! That's good because purple would have not matched anything in my room. I love the included USB port. I do wish it had both the USB-A and USB-C but the USB-A is (for the moment) still the most widely used. The finish is nice. I like the blue. USB ports work well for charging my phone. I would not expect a fast charge, but it's on my nightstand so I don't need it to be a fast charger there anyway. If you get blue (like I did) they are quite nice!
