maybe others received a different version of the product than i did? these are kinda horrible.

I don't understand the glowing reviews and photos of blackout curtains - perhaps the product has changed over time? Pro: inexpensive (could explain all the cons). i paid $17.99 per 52x96" panel. the quality of the sewing/hemming seems decent for the price. there was no awful smell like you get with some new polyester items. Con: NOT blackout - see photo #1 - (that window on the left faces east with no trees or buildings to block light at all; the window on the right faces south with another row house maybe 5 feet away.) other reviewers may not realize that there are 100% blackout curtains out there - see my photo #2 - the only light coming in is at the edges of the curtain and through the grommet holes. (I was not lucky enough to find another like that one I bought years ago) back to this curtain: the fabric gets little pulls in it and the pulls are black! (my curtains are beige and yes I understand it has a black inner liner to attempt to block out light) I thought I'd be able to give these a quick iron to remove the fold lines. NOPE. I set the iron as hot as I thought the fabric could take and give it a mist of water and ironed...and ironed...it still had the creases from being folded inside the package. so i spritzed the curtains, especially along fold lines, with water and put them into the dryer for about 10-15 minutes. the fold lines went away but now there are wrinkles! see photo #3. they look awful. (There are no care instructions on the label or packaging. The listing said machine washable (silent on dryer) - one reviewer said they did fine in the dryer.) the fabric has a clingy feel to it...not pleasant, though it drapes fine when it's hanging. i would have definitely returned these if i hadn't missed the return window.

Great looking, and great sunblocking!

These curtains do a great job keeping light out after hanging. Material is thick, not sheer or flimsy, and the metallic accents in the fabric look fantastic. They needed a little steam to get some wrinkles out, but overall they were a great purchase.

Excellent quality, especially for the price

I never write reviews, but today I had to because these curtains are amazing! I started out with two panels to test the quality. The green is beautiful, the quality is by far superior to the price, and the blackout capability is exactly what I have been looking for, but unable to find in a less expensive panel. The panels also insulate my room (I hadn't realized it needed insulating!) and blocks out street noise. I've ordered two more--the red, which is a beautiful rich, deep, red, and I have two more panels on the way. By the way, I initially ordered pink and once they arrived, I realized I didn't want pink. The return process could not have been easier.

I love these curtains. They are the exact color as shown on Amazon, the metal squares sparkle nicely. The material is heave gauge, have weights and will last a long, long time. Thank you.

Great Curtains at a great price

I have been in the market for a while for some good blackout curtains and I am so glad I found these on amazon! They do a wonderful job! Obviously they don't stop light from getting in on top but if that's a huge hassle, raise the curtain rod. However, even with that little light, it makes such a huge difference to our room and they look nice too! They feel like good quality and glide back and forth nicely! Great price and they do the job nicely! I highly recommend! I purchased the red color and it's a nice dark royal red.

they do a great job of making the room very dark

These are exactly what I was expecting. They aren't the blackout curtains you find in a hotel and don't block out 100% of the light. However, they do a great job of making the room very dark. We have these up on a window that also has mini-blinds. When the mini-blinds and curtains are closed together, the room is almost pitch black. With the binds open the room is quite dark with a slight red glow to it. Also, the quality of the curtains is great and they look really good in a room. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

Blackout Curtain

Bought the rose colored curtains for a nurseey and they are total blackout! The color is vibrant, good quality material, feels like it will also block drafts. I haven't washed them yet, but I'm very pleased and will be buying in a different color for toddler room.

Beautiful Curtains!

These curtains are excellent quality! Everyone that sees these curtains are always pointing out the quality of these curtains. The pink is a bubblegum pink color, which looks gorgeous in my daughter room. They are not block out curtains, but they do a good enough job blocking the sun from my daughter's room. Love these curtains! Would recommend and buy again!!

Pricey but I like it.

Great Quality Fully Blackout Curtains

Arrived in perfect condition. Fabric is soft and luxurious and these curtains definitely block out the light. I needed to iron them which is to be expected because they arrive in a folded package. They ironed with no problem - the steam iron accidentally leaked water on them but this dried with no trace of any stain, which is fantastic! I’m fully satisfied with this purchase.

Good product, As described

Good product, As described. I bought the Red Panel and it completely blocks the light (doesnt do much for sound). It only comes with one panel and no curtain rod or bracket. Overall, good product. If you are looking for real heavy acoustic curtains, you might want to look elsewhere, although they block the light they do not provide the soundproofing qualities you might find in heavy velvet curtains)

needs more metal.

Its red, and it blocks light, but it only gets a 4/5 because my cat ruins them after a few months. They need to offer a carbon-fiber or chainmail version for cat owners. if I get my chainmail curtains from them Ill change this to a 5/5
