What I received I received a flimsy, but sturdy, clear, tape sealed, crispy-crunchy sounding, cellophane type non-retail plastic bag, measuring 9½” x 8½” x ½”, weighing in about (3.1) ounces. Inside, of course was the t-shirt. This is a matching set. The bag had a warning about the bag being dangerous and nothing really about the brand or marketing information, which leads me to believe this is a commodity type item. Why I selected I selected this combination set in large part because of its “LOVE MY MAMA” themed graphics, classic good looks, color, and that it is (100%) cotton (and it turned out to be nice and soft). Fit and finish This is a mid-level to premium T-shirt, with superior fit and finish, from a brand name I have never heard of THE CHILDREN’S PLACE (which is referenced on the hangtag and the shirt, which suggests this is not so much of a commodity type of outfit. Regardless, this is made with rich, colorful, soft, and wonderful feeling smooth 100% cotton of light to medium weight, like jersey (a bit of stretch) type cloth, that seems to repel liquids, a little bit, and so far, resists stains if caught quickly and gone over with a good wash. Value Considering the totality, this represents reasonable value in clothing, even if from an unknown name brand. Wash & Wear The outfit is easy to wash. I did not see much in the way of shrinkage, however, if this goes into the dryer, it’s just for a few minutes. Otherwise, I prefer to hang and dry. Comfort? Our little one said it was comfortable, with no rashes here, nor there, and the outfit does dry nicely that I may not iron it, but I may give this shirt and shorts a quick warm iron for that crisp look. However, I do not want to really do much, because of the graphics, and I avoid ironing the graphics completely. (I iron inside out. Again, warm, and just a quick couple of times, just to take the wrinkles out.) Attention to detail Attention to detail is noticeable here. All seams were tight. No loose threads. Everything was even and well sewn. Gifting This makes a nice gift. There were two (2) tags on this shirt. This outfit stands-out, because of its “LOVE MY MOMA” theme, (the shirt’s graphics take-up nearly the whole front of the shirt. Weight Considering the material and its weight, perfect for a warm spring day and the dog days of summer wear. The shirt weighed-in at about (3.1) ounces, which is less than a competitor’s (4) ounces. Care As noted above, I washed this with like colors, in cold water, and have used a dryer, low setting, for a couple of minutes and then line dried it. Thoughts I think wearing a neat graphic t-shirt, like this, adds a tad bit of fun, and is helpful to our young prince’s understanding of what it means to be neatly dressed. There were “no” negative surprises with this. Everything was as expected, other than the fit. Country of origin? Pakistan (they produce some nice cotton goods, like this T-shirt). Fit Fit I think a tad on the smaller size, so glad I ordered a size up. Bottom-Line I would select this again… I hope my thoughts add information.
