3 of the lights I ordered have already burned out.
They were fine for the first few days then, one by one, the started to flicker and die. I have lost 3 of them so far. These may be inexpensive but will cost you a lot more in the long run. The reason I bought them was that LED bulbs are supposed to last longer than incandescent as well as giving you energy savings and not running as hot. They didn't last long enough for me to talk about the savings. You can take your chance but I can only believe that I'm not the only one to experience these problems.

Good enough as a flood light, but falls short on life.
I use this flood light bulb as the work light above the kitchen sink. It works well enough for the location. The light extends to a fairly wide angle, which is good, though I could go for an angle that is a bit narrower (which would then result in somewhat more intense light). Life of the bulb is a disappointment. It lasts no longer than the incandescent bulbs I used to use in this location.

Nice lights, and Cree stands by them
I don't like 2700k or 5000k—both seem a bit extreme for my taste. So, I was glad to see such bright 3000k bulbs from Cree, who has made many of the LEDs in flashlights I've had through the years. I installed 4 of these bulbs in my family room. They were fantastic—nice color, super bright, and almost no hum/buzzing noise. With the vaulted ceilings, they were inaudible to me, and I'm somewhat sensitive to buzzing sounds. So, you can imagine the disappointment when not 4 months later, one of the bulbs was dead. I didn't want to replace it with a mismatching bulb… and I also didn't want to buy 4 new coordinating bulbs of a different kind. Seeing these have a 5-year warranty, I contacted Cree with the relevant information. Cree shipped me a replacement the very next day. It was totally painless. In less than a week, the replacement arrived and I have 4 working lights again. I just bought another of this bulb for a separate fixture. I am confident that, if I need them, Cree will be there.

Bulbs don't last but pay for themselves in electricity savings
These bulbs produce bright light and good color. However they last less than a year even if used only a few hours per day. CREE honors its warranty and replaces the bulbs with no hassle. However I think these bulbs are not really designed to be used in recessed can fixtures. In that type of fixture the bulbs probably cannot adequately dissipate the heat that shortens the life of LEDs and their driver circuits. But even so, if the bulb lasts only one year, the reduced power consumption and savings in electricity costs compared to what 120W halogen bulbs cost to operate when they were available more than pays for cost of the LED bulb. The CREE LED light uses 23W, which is 97W less than the equivalent 120W halogen bulb with similar brightness and color. At $0.15 per kilowatt-hour cost of electricity and 1000 hours of usage, savings is 0.097 kW x 1000 h x $0.15 per kWh = $14.55. The CREE bulbs costs about $9 more than the old halogen, so even with short lifetime, the CREE bulb saves about $8.

Excellent bulb one caveat
This is a fantastic bulb. Extremely bright and coloration of the light produced is way pleasant. Great for high ceilings. This is the pro version of this bulb, there is also a retail version. Both appear identical. The pro version has 5 year warranty and the retail version is a 10 year warranty. From the literature on this pro series, the expectation seems to suggest that the pro version will be used in a more high use and somewhat rough environment. I believe that's why only 5 year warranty. Really like this bulb.

Finally good illumination and the right color
I have a dozen 6" cans in the ceiling of my workshop and finding the right light for the best overall illumination has proved a challenge until now. The color is warn and natural and plenty of light even in the dark corners. The bulbs are lightweight and don't seem to get as hot as the ones I replaced. Good value for the price.

it doesn't last
I bought this bulb on 1/29/2021 and it burned out on 4/28/2022. I used it for roughly 10 hours per day, 4 days per week. As there are around 66 weeks from 1/29/2021-4/28/2022, I used the bulb for roughly 10 * 4 * 66 = 2,640 hours. The bulb is supposed to last for 25,000 hours. Even if I used it 24/7 from 1/29/2021-4/28/2022, that adds up to 24 * 7 * 66 = 11,088 hours. My point is that I have owned the bulb for far less than 25,000 hours and it burned out, even though it is rated for 25,000 hours. Buyer beware.

Other alternatives
Similar to what you can buy from HD. These are older, since they are heavier than those at HD, however, these are a little cheaper.
