Confidence in extreme cold

I'm a huge fan of omni heat technology, which keeps me warm with less weight and bulk so I can move -- especially as a winter cyclist. I used this beanie to layer under my cycling helmet along with a Columbia full face mask in minus -14 with 25 below wind chill and my head was HOT. Gave me a ton more confidence about cycling safely in extreme cold. The sizing for the S/M is slightly big on my small head, but it still fit very well. Love the hole in back for my pony tail.

Excellent fall, winter, and spring cardio hat

I have a thicker Columbia fleece hat with omni-heat, and was searching for the same hat in a different color. Purchased this hat by mistake, and to my surprise, I actually like this one better. It has better coverage, is flexible, and is just as warm even though it's thinner. I've purchased three so far. Perfect for my outdoor cardio and weightlifting.

Ultralight backbacker, footslogger's dream.

It is featherlight, and you can fold it so small it literally fits in your palm, or shirt pocket. Best of all, with its foil doo-dad liner, it will keep your head toasty warm. Quality is excellent. No need to carry other bulky, space-wasting headgear on your next outing. Also, there's a hidden, unadvertised feature, for the ladies and long hair dudes... there's a pony-tail feature, a fold-over hole, in the back of this beanie.

summer snow storm in the mountains approved

I don't know how it will stand up to the dead of winter, but I do know that when it went from being in the seventies the day before to blowing winds and snow in late August as I crossed the Paintbrush Divide this hat did a great job. it is thin and light so very easy to pack.

Not a hat - it's a helmet liner - super thin

good quality Columbia product as always, but I'm quite disappointed in it. i thought this was a regular beanie with omni-heat tech in it, what this really is, is a helmet liner as it's too thin to wear as a hat, it has zero wind protection and completely unable to offer any warming value as a stand alone hat.

tres mince! je ne m'attendait pas a ce que ca soit aussi chaud. coupe vent, chaud, mince, confortable et leger. facile a mettre dans une poche de manteau. vraiment je suis surpris, tester jusqu'a -10 et toujours parfait j'aime vraiment le produit
