Easy to read and use
The head did come loose and had to replace/reset.

Budget friendly
This is the first one I have ever bought and it works great. Easy to use and great quality for the price.

Excellent
Very easy to use and read. Use it for my garden and is very reassuring to have to give me "piece of mind" as planting season approaches!

A very disappointing product
I saw this product had good reviews at a reasonable price so I bought it. The build quality is not very good. When I was putting it into the ground and then removing it, there’s a gray plastic collar below the housing that fell off when I was removing the thermometer from the ground and the wires running inside the probe were exposed. I ended up keeping the gray collar to the bottom of the housing to keep it in place. It seems to be reasonably accurate but out in the sunlight. It’s hard to read the screen. also, the reading takes a while to stabilize in the ground. I ended up just using a Meat thermometer that I have in the kitchen it has a brighter screen, it works quicker and appears to be far better built. It would be my recommendation to buy one of those rather than waste your money on this poorly built product.

So easy, even I could do it.
Press the button. You stick it in the ground. It gives you a temperature. Nothing more needs to be said.

set up
So far so good. Word of caution, for the similarly slower headed folks out there like myself. There is a film sticker on the digital screen that reads 65 degrees and the batteries are inserted backwards when it comes. I spent a little too long figuring that out and thinking mine was defective.

Came apart first time I removed from the ground
First time I used this thermometer and I removed from the ground it came apart… not great quality… Temp reading worked great, just can’t keep it together.

Works great if you are gentle with it
Seems to work pretty good. You need to make a hole with a screwdriver and then stick this in. If you try to jam to needle into the dirt it will likely break. Much more accurate then trying to use yardmastery or other apps thats generalize your location and soil temperature.
