watch quit working after one week

The watch was beautiful and my husband adored it. It was a gift to him from me. After about a week the watch stopped working and we found out that you cannot get it fixed at just any store. The parts needed was more expensive than the watch. If you buy this item please keep the box etc for awhile just incase.

Amazing Quality

I thought it would be just another cheap ok looking watch. I WAS WRONG! This watch is beautiful and works flawlessly I've had it just over a month and I love it.

Just OK

The best thing about this watch is the appearance. The hands do not pivot from the center of the dial, which makes it kind of hard to pin point the time, which is made worse by the lack of a second hand. When I viewed the watch, I thought the small dial on the left was a second hand, but it is 24 hour time, which is just redundant of the sun/moon dial next to it. It also gains about a minute a day, which is really disappointing when you spend that much money. Looks nice, though.

Dead on arrival, feels very light

I wound up the watch, being sure not to overwind it (I have other very old pocket watches and know how to handle them), but this one was dead on arrival. Even a few tricks to start the watch didn’t work, and so I am sending this back and asking for a replacement. Not happy so far and this isn’t a good omen. Also. It’s that it feels too light though, and think I should have just returned it and asked for my money back. If you have an older packet watch, you may be disappointed by how light this one is, feels a bit cheap at the high price it costs.

I do like the day/night

While attractive, I found the 24 hour feature impossible to read. I do like the day/night, and the ability to see the flywheel. I replaced the stainless steel chain with a sterling silver one. The presentation box is good.

Great Accessory

love this watch - everything from the two toned case to the moon phase dial. The open face allows you to see the time without opening the actual cover. Follow the directions that come with the watch for opening and closing the cover and for winding. Be sure not to 'over wind' and I am certain you will have something that will last. You will not need to purchase a separate chain because one is included. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice mechanical watch and is tired of wrist watches.

In person it is better than the pic

This is a Christmas gift and so I have yet to see how it runs, but it is a very attractive watch. In person it is better than the pic. It is of nice weight and seems to be great quality. The outside is a high polished metal. Very classy! I hope he loves it!
