Works if used under certain conditions
I use it inline for fertilizing my veggie garden. BUT BUT BUT you must not leave it under full city water pressure, and I use it only AFTER a pressure regulator reduction fitting to feed my drip irrigation lines feeding a few hundred plants. I use it at either 15 or 20lbs pressure but with the valves always open so the bottle is never under back pressure. It is an easy way to fertilize your yard evenly with drip irrigation, but you need to figure out for yourself how much fertilizer each plant will use. If I intend to use it under ANY pressure, I use plumbers tape to stop it from leaking, and even then, I have had to container blow off the sprayer if I shut off the valve built into the sprayer I'm not even sure if the plumbers tape will work at 15 or 20lbs of pressure. Also, a regular mouth (smal mouth) mason jar will screw into unit, but I was cleaning windows, and absent mindedly used the shut off valve on the untit, instead of one on the hose end, and the glass mason jar popped off and shattered. For low cost, this is about the only option you have unless you have unrestricted water flow with no back pressure. In that case, a 'Hozon' siphon mixer will work.

Great for hooking up an additional hose.
I didn't want to hand hold a fertilizer so this was just the item to hook up an extended hose to get fertilizer to my plants through a sprinkler. Works well. Only gripe I have is the gasket is sloppy. It folded up the first time I had to refill the jar. So be aware of that.

Do NOT use with a shut off AFTER the item.
I have hanging planters around the outside of my home, as well as decorative pots along the ground on the perimeter. So I need to use an extension watering wand to reach. I had a similar mixer / sprayer many years ago that I had added quick disconnects to, so as to facilitate easier installation inline to a watering wand (and to a variety of sprayers/sprinklers). I attempted to do same with this unit and I ended up taking a bath in Miracle Gro solution. Apparently, there is no bypass / pressure relief like on other models of feeder / mixers. If you put any optional device such as a watering wand or sprinkler head with a shut off *after* the mixer: * that shut off must be left *open* from the start and on full flow *, otherwise the mixing jar pressurizes and blows off. --> All control must be from the shut off lever on the inlet side of the mixing jar. < Obviously, when you are done with an attachment, you shut it off, and disconnect. To use with this mixing attachment, to leave an attachment on, and go pick up a flowing attachment is counter-intuitive, as to who places or disconnects watering attachments on the end of a charged hose line in an open / flowing position?? Nowhere in the included instructions does it state not to add any independently valved attachments post mixer. I will say this, the mixer construction is durable, as after I had the jar blow off the first time, I reassembled without a wand, reinstalled the included spray head and it went right to work. *But* the included watering head is not really suitable for precise controlled watering of pots (without getting the surrounding area watered as well) - it is better suited for broad applications: great for garden beds, rose bushes, shrubs; but not for individual potted plants. I'll either have to use a conventional watering can or go to plant stakes.

Doesn't work with soaker hoses
This seems to work fine if you use the sprayer, but I wouldn't put anything that restricts flow and causes back pressure. It starts to leak and eventually the bottle popped off!

Did not work as expected
Perhaps I am not using the sprayer as designed. I out product in the jug and attached the hose. When I opened the valve (red lever), it blew the jug off. I do not have an inordinate amount of water pressure and other sprayers that I won work just fine. it behaved like the threads were not strong enough to hold the top to the jug. maybe its a defective unit.

Pleasantly Please
Because of all the negative comments, I was very hesitant on purchasing this sprayer. I'm not a follow the leader type of guy so I purchased it anyways. The sprayer works perfectly so far, no problems with leaks or anything. I just wish it were a little bit bigger. I'm very much satisfied ????

It didn't hold up.
First of all ass you can see from the picture I am trying to glue it back together. I have used it twice and it crack where it goes under the cap. I'm out there holding it to get her to minimize leading. It is such an obvious stress point on both sides. Literally 0.001 cents of plastic would have made it stout in these areas. Ridiculously bad engineering! Secondly it doesn't meter the fertilizer into the water. It shirts a little water into the solvable fertilizer tank pushing it into the stream going out. That means your tank is less and less concentrated as you go. While it takes the same volume of water from the tank into the stream it is constantly diluting it. Any mechanical engineer worth his salt would have put an intake tube to the bottom of the tank and breather hole out the cap. Injecting water into it constantly? Seriously, there is not one person in management that didn't know this would not work? All they saw there was a market for a feed through hose fertilizer, kind of looked at products, made something that looked like it and put it on Amazon. Don't encourage them by wasting your money.
