Face scratches easily.

Basic Casio watch. Easy to read, has a stopwatch and a bright light. Only problem is how easy the acrylic face is to scratch. I use toothpaste to fix it and it makes tons of little scratches on the face. As long as you don't give it a rough life, it will be good.

Third Casio/Timex in my "collection" – the larger numbers are a little big when you first wear it, but I don't even notice it now. Perfect for smaller wrists and a great alternative to a regular G-Shock. I only wish they made this w/ and Indiglo light.

Backstory: I’ve been wearing an Apple Watch for the past 4 years, 24 hours a day. I recently decided that I wanted to unplug a bit, I got tired of my wrist blowing up from group texts, and having to charge the thing every single day. Research: I can say with confidence that I did more research on Casio watches than I’ve ever done on something I planned to spend $20 on. I watched TONS of YouTube videos, and I ended up buying this. I looked in to the f91w and I almost bought that. It’s classic, I loved the look but the one thing some people complained about was the small size. I looked at all of the photos in the reviews and it was always so hard to get perspective, because you never know who’s wearing the watch. I didn’t want some enormous G shock, and I didn’t want something that would look like a child’s watch. After receiving this, all I can say is that it looks like what I thought the f91w was going to look like from a size perspective. Search the f91w on Amazon and you’ll see that it’s a best seller in the womens watches category. All I can say is that if you are an adult male, I can’t imagine a world where this would be too big of a watch for you. I’m 6’0, 195lbs, but my wrists are 7 inches or a bit larger. Even my pictures are a bit deceiving, this watch looks and feels smaller in person than it does in any picture or video you’re going to find on it. Unless you really want a SMALL watch, this should fit any man and probably most women just fine. I can’t even imagine how small the f91w is on the wrist. About the watch: man this thing is just what I hoped it would be. It tells and keeps time great so far, you can see the screen from pretty much every conceivable angle, it’s paper light, and it it looks good. I watched a YouTube video that talked about the black and gold looking more like an adults watch rather than a toy. I love the retro look of the black and blue trim version, but I believe the reviewer was correct, and I’m glad I got this one. From any distance it’s pretty inconspicuous and looks almost like a smart watch. Up close it gives a classic retro vibe. It’s a $15 watch, but that’s the appeal. If it breaks in a year, I’ll throw it away and buy a new one without a single regret. Final note: The backlight on this is fantastic, which was another reason I bought it over a lot of the other similar Casios. The one on the f91w seems pretty terrible.

Perfect for my needs.

It's a very simple watch, it gives you the time and date without much clutter, it has a stopwatch, alarm and hourly chime. The size is ideal, not too big not too small.

Great watch but strap ( bit without holes in it ) just a bit too long unless you are Thor. I trimmed about a cm off mine with stanly knife. Perfect now best watch ever. Not too complex easy to read with good backlight.

Great everyday casio

For me, one of the better cheap casio watches The size works well, being bigger than the F91W derivatives, and with a simple and legible display. Great backlight too.

A very practical Casio!

This watch is like the big brother to the much smaller but iconic F-91W, but with better water resistance and a better and brighter backlight. It fits an adult wrist much better but is not oversized by any means and feels like nothing on your wrist, you can almost forget that it is there. It gives you all you need and nothing you don’t in a very affordable timepiece. Recommended!

Simple perfection.

I bought this watch because I wanted a classic look, but with larger digits. The W217 exceeds my expectations. Its functions are simple. The buttons are easy to operate. Illumination is outstanding. But the best feature is the chime: IT'S LOUD! Way louder than any other Casio watch I own, the alarm could wake the dead. Seriously, you will not miss the alarm when it chimes. If you like the F-91W style but want something a bit bigger, consider the W217. If you seek a simple watch with a loud alarm, stop looking and buy a W217.

Inexpensive time piece

This sits in my collection to help me set my mechanical watches and used for rough service. It's kept near perfect time for the last 6 months. Although it's only rated to 50m it kept water out when tubing on water slides and tubing/swimming in a river. It's held up fine to the vibration of my lawn mower and trimmer during yard maintenance. Although not as impressive as some of my other watches it doesn't look bad; fits my 6-3/4" wrist with 3 more notches left and not too much extra strap that I feel the need to trim it. Yes a G-Shock looks better and should hold up to more abuse but I'm never worried about wrecking this thing and if it happens I'll just buy another.
