Good hat

I ordered this for my nephew. I measured his head and ordered this according to the directions on the page. The hat that was sent was still much too large. My nephew still loved it so I ordered some hat size adjusters and we.called it good.

Nice for the money

Good hat. Overall worth the money. Came well packaged. Runs just a little bigger than usual but has adjustable band inside.

Have your style game figured out? Confident dresser? Or, just finding yourself in the outdoors often? This is your field hat.

From Brixton comes a well proportioned (and well made) hat in cotton felt. Good weight on the material with a soft brim that allows some bending/shaping brand new and one that will develop its own uniquely uneven shape over time if/when exposed to the elements. Does run larger than typical (I'm usually a Large in fitted hats and a Medium fits me perfectly with this one). [The rest of this review applies to my experience with the Field Hat in Black] Leather trim around the front third provides a subtle bit of detailing and a contrast in brown that allows the hat to work with a wider set of colors. The downside of the cord extending down from the brim is that certain styles/looks can be compromised by appearing too "Cowboy" or "outdoors-y." This obviously isn't a problem for everyone but if you're looking to incorporate the hat in streetstyle or urban dandy fits, is something to consider. It won't effect every look, but does throw things off sometimes. That having been said, while I'm wearing it often in the summer right now, this hat is not something I rock every day with every outfit and, unless you're an older gentleman, you probably shouldn't either. If you live in an urban environment especially, thanks to the idiots-in-fedoras phase a while back, you will draw looks in a hat like this (despite very much not being a fedora/trillby etc.) - so make sure the rest of your style is on-point or you'll end up looking like one of the aforementioned idiots. I love it for what it is, and I'm glad I bought it, but I picked it up having fits I already wore that now pop a bit more with the addition of the hat. YMMV if you're just buying a hat to have a hat. (As an aside, I ordered the Black and the Heather Green and only sent back the Green because the Black ended up being more versatile. The coloring of the green felt Brixton chose is very nice and if I lived more of my life in the woods, I'd probably have gone the other way.)

Great for larger heads!

first of all I’m obsessed! for a girl with a larger head it’s so hard trying to find hats that fit because all of them are one size fits most. I’m so happy this came in larger sizes. I ordered an XL and it fits perfect, it’s looser but that’s fine, that’s what I was wanting. I can wear it like normal or on the back of my head. The brim isn’t as stiff as I thought, it’s not super floppy but softer, but that’s not a big deal for me. Love love love. Would recommend to anyone, especially those with larger circumferences!

It does a great job for keeping the rain off of my head

It's a bit big for my head. I wear a 7.5 hat. This hat doesn't exactly fit "snug", but it doesn't give me a headache either. It does a great job for keeping the rain off of my head, and shading my eyes from the sun (which is why I bought it). It's a good product. If I buy another one, I may try one size smaller, just to see if it fits better.

Worth the money

Really great hat! Was packed diagonally in a box with lots of support so the hat had no damage or folds. Already hot lots of compliments on it. Solid buy.
