Poor quality control and a bit expensive but does work.

I was dissapointed with this carburetor. I ordered the genuine B+S part and paid a significant premium hoping for a hassle free swap. Unfortunately the threads for the fuel inlet were poorly done and I had to clean them up with a tap before it could be used. This is too expensive to have quality problems. I think next time I might consider a knock-off carb and save $100 if I am going to have to mess with it to make it work anyway. Still giving it three stars because once I cleaned up the threads and installed it the equipment fired up and ran fine.

Saved us a lot of money

We had a used generator that was a real deal at under $200. 3000 watts. But after about a year it wouldn't start. We bought this replacement carburetor for $150.00 and it started first pull. Not bad deal. For less than $400 we have a generator that is nearly as good as ones costing several thousand. Now if the electricity goes off we're going to be O.K.

Go OEM or Go Back and Get Another One

After wasting 2 purchases on cheap Chinese knock-offs that didn't work (one leaked gas and the engine wouldn't start at all, the other ran rough and weak no matter how much tuning was done), this one has been working flawlessly for weeks. I was a little skeptical when it showed up because it smelled faintly of gas (was it used?), but it's worked great.

Okay - on further review, this is junk!

I wrote a prior, positive review, based on the relatively easy initial installation of this carburetor. After a week, I have a different reaction. As I tried to adjust the air/fuel mixture, I found that the set screw was jammed and wouldn't back off more than one full turn. So I loosened the lock nut on the set screw and slid the valve out. What I discovered was that one of the o-rings had been improperly installed, and that it was twisted in place, making the valve stick, Once I got that straightened, I re-installed the assembly, only to have the stem break because the metal was weak. What a piece of junk!

Works great - first time, everytime.

I could not be happier. It bolted right up. My tiller started immediately and still runs like a top. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone, friends, family or reading public.

Instant new life for an older tiller

Install takes about 15 minutes - 3 bolts. Once installed - the tiller started up and ran better than it ever has. Should have done this years ago.

Easy as pie - Pre adjusted

Pulled the old one off, installed the new one, pulled the cord and viola! Purrs like a kitten and I didn't even have to adjust the new carb...it was pre-adjusted perfectly. A great replacement part here. I recommend it.

Dont biy it

Paid for 3 day shipping and got it in 8 days. Installed it and gas peed out of the choke . Junk
