Hard To Beat For The Buck
I purchased this razor a year ago, almost to the day. Pretty much I was a safety razor/soap & brush man. Haven’t used a electric since the very early 80s (Norelco triple header). For the price, you can’t beat this razor, period. Now I should state that I don’t have a heavy beard. Using a blade I could get by with shaving every other day. Sorry, but nothing saves as close as a razor blade(s). With that said, you can get a pretty darn close shave with this unit and without any irritation, but it seems to work best if you shave daily and don’t rush. Perhaps I should add that I shave with it dry, i.e. no cream. Maybe that would make a difference? Anyway, my only complaint is you cannot shave with it while it’s charging, which is really no problem at all. The charge light begins blinking far in advance of the batteries dying. Yep, I’d have to recommend this product. Hope this review actually helps someone. Addendum: I tried wet shaving with cream. Honestly, aside from the mess I didn't notice any difference in the shave. So, IMO, just save time and clean up and dry shave with it.

Good Replacement for My Old Spice (Braun) Shaver
I bought an Old Spice (Braun rebadge) Red Foil Shaver from a big box store about 9 years ago. I liked it a lot. But after 9 years the battery was getting low after 1-2 uses. They sold a lot of them, so I'm pretty sure those people are looking for a similar replacement recently. I went to a department store and picked up two different Barbasol shavers from cheap. The cheap foil one was TERRIBLE. I don't have a ton of facial hair, and I don't shave every day, but that thing would leave multiple patches on hair and they wouldn't go away even with multiple passes. The 3 head shaver was okay, but I didn't really like it. This Braun Shaver is basically a newer version of the Red Old Spice Shaver I had. It cuts reasonably close. Enough to make my face smooth, but you can still see the spots where hair was. Dunno if that's normal or if my old one did that when the blade was still good. But it makes quick work and I can finish shaving in under a minute. A bonus would be that it's compatible with the charging dock that I used with my Old Spice Shaver. Sorry guys, if you want one I think they're like $27 for an aftermarket one. Will include photos later on. But I'm satisfied with my purchase. I took a star off because I feel like I get whiskers forming by the end of the day. So it shaves smooth, but maybe not the closest ever. And I think it's overpriced, but what isn't after inflation. I paid less for my Old Spice Shaver with the dock than for this one without the dock.

Braun Shaver
This shaver is great!: very effective, holds its charge well, quite portable, fits my hand perfectly, it’s quiet, and able to reach difficult areas. Have owned it for about a year and it consistently provides a great shave. I take it with me whenever I travel…..my wife also likes and uses it frequently. Very high recommendations!, a quality devise.

Great for my 13 year old.
I didn’t want to spend too much on a first razor. This was a good price and my son really likes it. He has not complained about skin irritation or anything. Does the job and has been a great intro to grooming and hygiene. Gave it four stars because I don’t know how it does for the average adult. Five stars for my beginner

Practical razor
This razor does allow for a good close shave and is easy to clean. Since I have been put on a strong blood thinner, I have been advised to use an electric shaver in place of a blade type shaver in order to minimize bleeding dangers. This razor is perfect for my situation.

Nice shaver
The shaver gives a close comfortable shave. Obviously not as close as a razor, but I am happy with it. Because of the straightness of the cutting heads, it's a little difficult under the jawbones and around the neck, but it's OK.

Efficient. Economical. FAST. No Irritation. Fresh Import.
As a 53 year old who had been through all modes of shaving (except the legendary straight razor and leather strop) these are my observations. The modern gold standard is the Double Edged blade (DE) based razors like the German Muhle R41 (Satan's Razor), Merkur Futur (The Beast), Merkur 39C Slant Bar (The Sledgehammer). These coupled with an Italian Omega Boar Hair Brush and British Shaving Creams (Truffit & Hill, Taylor of Old Bond Street or the Indian Biotique BioPalmyra etc) and Blades like the Japanese Feather, Russian 7 O'clock and Astra, Israeli Personna, Turkish Derby or the Indian 7 O'clock Platinum Black and Supermax Platinum Plus give you an unparalleled BBS (Baby Bottom Smooth) Finish. The GOLD STANDARD of shaving. BBS - No stubble detected by running the back of the hand (or a woman's cheek) over the entire shaved area. Passes even the Gillette Business card Test. (Google it). No 5 o'clock shadow (Google it) seen even till 10 PM. A new Mach 3 or Fusion with Brush and Cream can help you achieve the next best level, the DFS (Damn Fine Shave). Smooth in most areas but stubble detected in hard to get areas. Excellent for most gentlemen (and ladies) Then comes the SAS or the Socially Acceptable Shave. This is what the Braun Series 3 310s can easily manage. Visibly clean shaven, but fails the "feel test". The outstanding part is that the Braun can easily get you to a SAS in less than 5 minutes covering upper and lower lips cheeks and neck. No Nick's. No rednness. No rashes (after the first two conditioning shaves). I have found that the rotary razors (I have a Panasonic Spinette) cause more irritation than the foil razors like the Braun, Panasonic and Remington. When running late, I shave when on the pot. Best symbiotic use of time on two wasteful activities. Best results are obtained when held perpendicular to skin with light pressure. Light strokes WTG (With The Grain) and ATG (Against The Grain) will provide a smooth finish. Hope this helps.

Nice shaver to have.
This is much better than Phillips Aquatouch. This gives me proper clean shave. I was using Phillips Aquatouch for since last six year, I need to check durability of this Braun 3S series as box says made in China. This worries me bit. Drawbacks is that it do not have side trimmer for sideburns. Macine vibrates little bit, Aquatouch is very silent. Updating the review after year: The concern which I had raised regarding durability being Chainese made at the time of purchase is going to be true. No doubt it gives close shave but the sharpness is totally gone just after a year of use. Now it started giving pain while shaving where beared is hard. Phillips shaver worked seemlessly for six years without any tussle. And the head cost for this Braun is around 1700 which seems to be costly for one year. My final verdict will be to go for Phillips considering performance and durability.

Great Product!
It is a very good electric shaver. following are the pros: 1. Ergonomics of the shaver is so good that it provides very firm grip over the shaver while using it. 2. Shaving is very smooth without leaving any scar on the skin. 3. Product gives best result when used on dry skin and the stubble is not more than one or two days old. 4. Since it is water resistant, cleaning under water is very safe and effective. 5. Battery life is very good. Takes less than one hour to get fully charged which is good enough for shaving twice, at least. Few cons: 1. It does not come with any accessories. Particularly the lack of side trimer makes it very inconvenient to trim sideburns. 2. Most important drawback is that finding the replacement head is very difficult as well as costly. Over all, it is a good product and one should try it without any hesitation.

A good razor.
I have light growth, but like to shave daily. I've been shaving with a Merkur safety razor for years, with either Gillette or Astra blades, but wanted something that wasn't as time consuming. I was prepared to have some trade off against quality of shave, but this gives me a shave that's pretty good, and within a couple of minutes. Shaving in the shower, and with a bit of soap, it gives a mild shave; there's a little more razor burn than I'd expect from the safety razor, but it's not significant. I've had it a week and a half and the foil seems to be holding up well. As yet, I'm not sure what the point will be at which I regard it as reasonable value for money with foil replacement; up to now, I've been used to spending less than a tenner for 100 blades, which will last at least a year! I'm not sure that it would cope well with thicker or longer growth, but to be fair, I don't think it makes any claims to do so, and there are other models that are clearly better suited to this. Also, it charges quickly, and the charge seems to hold well. So, I'm going to give it a full 5- down the line, if either the battery or foil cartridge life isn't reasonable, I'll revise it downwards. If not, I'm still happy with it!

German in true sense! But is it?
I have been an electronic razor user for more than a decade. After my Philips Rotary razor lasted for more than 7 years....I was exploring the best I could fit to fit my daily needs. I shave daily ....I do prefer a clean shave. Was confused with the choice of Blades ( Rotary vs Foil Razor); However various studies help me conclude that the Braun Series 3 is the best my money can buy. Pros. 1. It was the best shaving experience from an electronic razor. 2. Good deal from the Cloud tail as I paid Rs 800 lesser than the MRP 3. The 3 Flex razor indeed helps in adapting to facial contour 4. The cleaning is deeper in comparison to my old Philips Norelco. 5. The Wet & Dry feature is a bonus. 6. Even very effective in cleaning difficult to reach areas like underneath the chin etc. 7. In case of users with beard I would suggest you to go with this model with all the attachments. 8 Changing of batteries is much easier then expected... you than do it your self after a long time. Cons 1. An additional trimmer should have been installed by Braun in this price point. 2. In this price point you would expect a charging base for your razor and not just the wire. 3. No Pouch was even provided to carry your razor. 4. Cost of replacement is relatively high ; but we need to take into account the quality & longevity of this product After 1 Year of Usage 1. It is supposed to be a Made in Germany product...but if one examines closely its a produce of CHINA....no complains here . 2. The small plastic thread type Blade holder tends to break after prolonged usage ie 1 year plus. 3. The Cost of the Blades in India is more than the razor itself in India..... Be Cautious with what you buy....Cheers
