Also works well with the Diablo

Very similar to the Diablo quick change (I believe Bosch owns Diablo so not surprising). I ended up picking up both and they seem to be pretty interchangeable.

Well made, reasonable quality

The device worked well as an assembly; you must have this mandrel to use the accompanying hole saws. But be advised, the hole saw itself may not be perfectly round or the overall device may not be perfectly balanced/centered. I had a bit of wobble with mine as I started the hole. Overall works fine.

Worked Well, But...

Typical of Bosch tools this one is well made and I needed it for a masonry hole saw I was using. The only issue I had was that the pilot point is not removable. After initially starting the hole it would have been advantageous to be able to remove the pilot point, since lacking flutes it cannot drill. This meant that to advance the hole saw farther than the point would retract meant having to drill a hole with a masonry bit through the center of the core I was trying to remove. It was an additional step which would have been unnecessary if the pilot point could be removed as it can on most hole saw arbors with which I'm familiar.

Outstanding!

Just wanted to give a little info on this item as the information seems to be a bit lacking... The black portion of this acts as a quick release (think of a compressed air hose fitting). The collet works with the Bosch diamond grit hole saws. The center 'spike' is spring loaded. After you start your hole, you pull on the spike assembly and it slips out of the collet. A nice, well designed product. Hope that helps!

Great time saving tool

The media could not be loaded. I had to make a quick video since there seems to be so much confusion about the pilot tip. You pull the tip out once you get the saw started, and you have to remove the home saw to get it out. It’s simple snap on/off. This hole saw saved the day for me. I was dreading trying to put holes in this marble, but the kit made things super easy. I dropped the tile in about an inch of water, started sawing and each tile was sawed through in about 30 seconds.

Doesn't fit standard Bosch hole saws

Does not work with Bosch standard hole saws. Requires extra part. It's an expensive purchase as bits go to not be able to use.

Pro grade product.

Great product. The centerpoint works well and you can simply snap it out to drill deeper. Much better design than others. Trick of the trade: every 10-20 seconds soak the bit in ice water. It will last much longer.

The centre pilot drill bit is not removable, also no threads for the drill bit to attach to

Please note! I purchased this to use with a diamond drill bit that I ordered from Amazon. This mandrel is not your normal drill bit mandrel as it does not have any threads for your drill bit to attach to. I ended up not being able to use this, but used a Dewalt regular hole bit mandrel. Also, I thought the centre hole bit could be removed and replaced, as on most other mandrels, and it cannot. I returned this as it might fit a Bosch hole bit, but no other standard threaded hole drill bit.

Excellent!

Fairly expensive - not sure it was necessary - what I really wanted was a 5 inch carbide 'crystal' hole saw to cut through really soft and uneven soffit aluminum. The hole saw worked great - but not sure this specific holder was required (can't recall). Anyway - good product and you get what you pay for.

Jammed/did work as advertised.

Just recieved the product and the arbor bot is not removeable. The package says to remove the bit to complete the drilling. Can't do that. Whether I got a dud or mines jammed I don't know.
