Works OK

The auction power of this one is not super high. Ok for light cleaning. One annoying part of it is the charger is so small it does not stay well on the vacuum. Charger needs to be mailed sons to something to work ok.

Only complaint...you have to keep your finger in the power switch in order to work. Should've been made with a press and release button to power on and off.

not too powerful.

I got this for quick clean-ups. it does not pick up debris very easily or quickly on carpet. too many passes are necessary. probably better on hard surfaces than on carpet. easy to empty.

Performs as desired

Suction power could be stronger, and a little odd that you have to hold the button down. But otherwise, performs as desired. Nice and light, super convenient for food spills, easy to clean and reassemble. Good product for cost.

It's good for what I needed it for.

I just got a new kitten and I got this to clean up litter that they make fly out of the box, so I didn't have to get my big vacuum out every single time. EDIT: Make sure it's always fully charged, empty it after each use. Also, clean the filter after each use. Otherwise it's not that great.

I am a huge fan of the portable cordless vacuum cleaners! They just make it so easy to clean up a small mess! The Black & Decker one is fairly good but you should manage your expectations. PROs - The suction is pretty powerful - more powerful than other portable cordless vacuum cleaner in the same price range, but do not expect the same power as your big plug-in vacuum. It's good enough to pick up dust or crumbs, and that's what it's for. - It's portable, cordless, and just easy to use. - It can hold a charge! When I received mine it had some charge in it! Now think about that - they must have charged it to test it, then they packaged it, then it must have spent quite some time in a warehouse somewhere, then I bought it, and when I received it, it still had some charge left! - It's pretty easy to clean - take it apart, empty it, wipe it down, and voila! - Some other reviewer said the charger is the same as for the older Black & Decker model, so if you already have one mounted on your wall, you won't have to change it CONs - You need to hold the ON button. It's not a big deal but it can become tiring if you're vacuuming for a while. I would have rather had a switch instead of a push button. I can see how it could be a problem for someone with arthritis for example. - The "exhaust" is on the bottom. This mans that the vacuum will blow out everything underneath it and spread it in every direction. This is definitely a design flaw but there is a proper vacuuming technique to get around it - just start vacuuming from the edge. - The vacuum is transparent. On the one hand this could be a pro as you can see when it's time to empty it up. However, it really bugs me personally, as it just looks dirty and nasty.

Good quality portable vacuum cleaner

Bought this item. Was choosing between Chinese brand and B&D. Not disappointed at all. After charging the vacuum cleaner the power of suction is very good and ease of cleaning is also very good. I like the fact that there are no any attachment accessories as these get lost and are not really necessary. Simplicity is the key. The quality of the plastic and assembly is very good. The charging base is also very small and convenient to use. There is an option to attach it to the wall. Otherwise it is easy to loose if not careful. I recommend this product. It does its job. Filter material is also washable. It protects engine from dust and large particles. It is possible to buy a replacement, but if you are careful, the one that comes with vacuum should last for very long time
