B&D Shelf

I hung this up in my garage; didn't really have anything in mind to do with it but glad to have a place to hang paper towels now since they were just sitting on a shelf before. I put all my B&D 24v MAX batteries inside the shelf; it's a very snug fit and they almost stop the door from closing/latching. The shelf looks nice enough that it could fit in a kitchen, bathroom, or even a bedroom. There are some hooks that can hang from the dowel, although I only attached one since I wanted to hang a roll of towels on it. There are also connecting pieces which can be used to hang this unit off another one - I didn't use those either since I directly mounted it to the drywall using the included drywall anchors & screws. Originally, the unit came with a chunk missing at the end of the dowel rod; it prevented the rod from hanging securely, so I reached out to Amazon and they sent a replacement. I found that it's pretty difficult to get the hooks slid into their spot inside the shelf - in fact, I had to apply so much force that I broke the hinge on the door and still the hook wasn't fully seated. Not hard to fix with some glue, but to be safe I would definitely recommend unscrewing the door before attaching the hooks. I ended up using a hammer and a screwdriver as leverage which worked, but it would have been way better if I didn't have to go to that length.

Stylish and functional

Added this to my garage and I really like the style of it. the paper towel holder bar falls off a lot but other than that this is a great addition. I like the strong magnetic backing so it just sits on the side of my large tool chest without having to drill holes.

Sturdy and high quality

In general, it works well. The product is quite robust and long-lasting, and the design makes it suitable for use in any setting. The storage space is limited but can hold a significant number of things. The door enhances its appearance. The only issue I have is that the screws holding the door were very loose when I opened it for the first time, and one fell off. If I hadn't been paying attention and looking around, I could have lost it and assumed that the product was missing a screw.

Well-built and useful

I really like this shelf. The materials of construction are nice and durable. This is a bit nicer than most similar shelving units. The magnetic door and backing (for mounting) are a nice touch. My only complaint is that I wish the mounting magnet was stronger. The most appealing thing to me is the overall modularity in mounting options, expandable storage feature, and setup options. This will live and serve us well in a garage/shop.

Great storage shelf for small spaces!

I got this to add some storage to my basement kitchen. I needed a place to hang my paper towel, and the little 'cabinet' this shelf has makes it perfect for holding medicine and other small things that I don't want out in the open. The shelf itself is very nice, and the quality is great. The bamboo door has no scratches or dents, and it opens and closes and stays shut with the little magnet for the door (an example on how strong the magnets are for the door: this shelf is currently living on my freezer door for the past few months as we do some rearranging, and the door of the shelf hasn't once slammed open from my constant opening and slamming of the freezer door). the little Assembly was easy, just slipped the hook pieces through the little slots on each side, and I used pliers to pry the inner slots to open a little more to slide the hooks into them. Once the hooks were in, they're secure, and the wooden rod slides right onto them on each side. The hooks don't wiggle at all once they're in, so changing out my paper towel isn't an issue. Nothing falls off, the door doesn't bang open on it's own (which was a worry for me). Overall, very happy with this. It adds a little style to my basement kitchen while adding storage.

small but useful

i mounted this using the magnetic back, the magnet is pretty strong! this if handy for holding keys and wallet . it has additional hooks or you can mount a paper towel holder. over all this could help organize your entry way.

High quality hanging rack

I use this Black and Decker hanging rack at my entry way and the shelf section with the door is perfect to store things inside without it appearing messy. The build quality is really good and being able to daisy chain these with the other shelf is a great feature. Very easy to put together and install on the wall, and if you are using it in the kitchen, it has strong magnets that can attach easily to the fridge or other metal surface. Very happy with it and I would recommend to anyone.

Great simple but expandable wall storage

Got this in tandem with "BLACK + DECKER BLACK HANGING RACK SYSTEM-SHELF W/BRACKETS (BDSTKT281BK)". I love how they attach, and overall offer and excellent 'small stuff' storage option for quick grab items. Can be attached to a wall or metal face, as the back is one big magnet. It's not for large stuff, but I've got my favorite screwdriver, tape measure, staple gun, Bluetooth speaker (gotta have garage tunes!), and other quick essentials right there in one easy-to-grab spot!
