Great absorbent liner! Make sure to prep them correctly!

My son is a very heavy wetter. During the day I use a microfiber & place one hemp behind the microfiber in a 5.0 Bum Genius Pocket Diaper I can go up to 4 hours at times before I need to change if we are out and about. At night, I use 3 of the hemp liners & a microfiber (yes- very bulky but he sleeps so hes not moving around in the diaper). If I place the diaper at 7pm, it can go between 5am and 7am before it leaks urine. For those who said they do not absorb, you need to research a bit on the way hemp liners work. They are a natural fiber so they need to be prepped 5-6 times before using to reach their absorbency. And by prepping, it is recommended to prep just like you were cleaning your soiled diapers. For me that entailed, one cold rinse load- extra rinse on, one hot load with detergent on deep wash cycle-extra rinse on, and then a third cycle- cold rinse- extra on. I toss them on medium in dryer then hang on drying rack to finish drying. It is time consuming to prep the liners initially so if your planning to use these liners I would prep a bunch as once as you will be using quite a bit of water and electricity initially. I usually did one prep cycle a day, so they had the rest of the day to dry, and I would have them prepped in 5-6 days. I love these liners. Its work to make the absorbent, but if you have chosen to use cloth diapers you know what you signed up for. Way better than microfiber alone. Also- to address staining, eventually all liners stain, regardless of what type. You need to strip your diapers once a month or hang in sun for a few hours and the stains come out. My son eats solids now and we have no stains after sunning the shells and liners.

Will absorb a lot of liquid!

I use these inserts in a fuzzibunz pocket diaper for nighttime. My daughter is a heavy wetter & will fuss a lot more if she gets wet at night. These liners are excellent for keeping her dry. I love how long they are. I use 2 in the pocket facing opposite directions and have no problem with her waking up dry. One however is not enough because she is such a heavy wetter. I have also tried these in a bum genius diaper. It didn't work out as well. The bum genius is not a pocket diaper & there are already 2 liners sewn into the diaper, so I can only fit one of these inserts. It still totals 3 liners which is more than what I use with the fuzzibunz, but she wakes up soaked. That does tell you that 1 of these inserts is better than 2 regular inserts. One thing that I dislike is how stiff they dry if they dry on the clothesline. They feel like cardboard. If they are in the dryer it is not as bad, but I prefer to hang my diapers to dry to help keep the quality of them like new.

slim and less bulky than microfiber

I prefer liners and doublers from green acres designs because they dry faster. These do not dry on low heat with the ready of my diapers and require additional time in the dryer or on the line. This is usually the case with hemp. Slim in pockets and useful alone for day use. I would use as a doubler at night.

Very thirsty hemp!

These are super absorbent and wonderful quality. I am very happy with these inserts as nighttime doublers in my Bum Genius 4.0s. I put them behind the microfiber insert and once that is soaked the hemp does the trick. Recommend for overnight, heavy wetters, toddlers.

Absorbent and Trim!

I love these inserts! I pair them with a microfiber insert for nighttime. They are extremely absorbent without the bulk. I stuff this combo in a Bum Genius or AppleCheeks and can go 12 hours without leaking on my 6.5 month heavy wetter. I definitely recommend these inserts!

Just what we needed!

My 12 month old became a heavy wetter over time and this is just what we needed for nigh time diapering. She now wakes up dry and I don't have to change her sheets daily. So it's a win, win!!!

Not as good as we thought.

They just didn't absorb what we needed. I got better results with cotton inserts than we did with these.
