so happy I ordered this!
After reading some of the reviews, about bent pieces and poor packing, I was a little worried about my order. The packing was more than sufficient to protect the parts. I was concerned that the arms looked sort of stubby. I wanted long "feather" stems up to the feathers, and in pieces, it looked all wrong. But, once I put it together, it was exactly what I was hoping for. It moves so gracefully and looks so pretty, even when barely moving. One wheel does seem to move a little more easily than the other, but I guess it is dependent on the wind direction. It gets going at quite a clip, fairly often. I love it! I have mounted it on my deck rail, by standing it against the railing and using zip ties to hold it in place. A railing bracket would have been nice. I use the twist together joint to adjust the direction of the blades to fit the wind direction, if it isn't moving much. Get one! You will be glad you did!

After having owned this for 5 years
I've had this spinner for about five years and I am very disappointed with it. On the rare occasions that it does spin, it is quite beautiful, but it hardly EVER spins! Part of the problem is that the stake is too thin and unstable. When the wind blows, it causes the stake to wobble so bad that it prevents the leaves from spinning. Another problem is that you have to position it just right to catch a breeze. The tee that the spinners are connected to does NOT rotate to catch the wind. When it does spin-only ONE of the spinners spins. Never have I seen both spinners spin at the same time, much less in a clockwise/counter clockwise motion. Also, it has lost it's patina and has become quite rusty. Since I've owned this spinner, I have bought several others from different companies (for the same price) that are MUCH more reliable and therefore much more beautiful than this one. Interestingly enough, I'm giving it two stars because since it has rusted out, it looks quite rustic as a piece of yard art.

A disappointment.
Very pretty. Not too difficult to put together, packaged really well. Delivered quickly. No spinning. It was windy yesterday, I obsessively moved this thing from place to place: front yard, back yard, side yard. Trying to find a place it would get enough wind to move! Every now and then it would move.... Slightly, and I'd get all excited, but alas it never managed to make one full rotation on its own. It's absolutely beautiful when I spin it with my hands but - unless it's so windy that I'm taking shelter inside this is not going to spin. It's a Gale force wind spinner. :( Honestly, if the packaging wasn't so complex I would've sent this back. I actually got another one, it's much shorter (and cheaper) and i just love it, it actually spins and in case you're looking for the one that works - it has a round glass globe in-between the blades on top of the rod.

Very Disappointing
Had a funky unattractive metal finish. Not a quality product: the top rod piece was not straight and the pin wheels were not properly balanced so even in a 30 mph wind it did not spin. Don't waste your time, spend more on the quality ones and get the desired result. Update: After the disappointment of this poorly made item, and based on glowing reviews, we bought Stanwood's Dancing Willow Leaves Kinetic Sculpture. It is fabulous. Real copper and brass, solidly built and engineered, and it spins in even a slightest breeze. It was significantly more that this Ancient Graffiti wanna-be but well worth it. It is the old saying that you get what you pay for!

This was very appealing to look at, but because of how heavy it is and maybe how tightly it is put together it doesn't spin very well in the wind. So it gets an A for physical appeal and a D for movement.

Not worth it!!
The object is not what was pictured. The feathers were on a stem about 1 inch from base not the 3 to 5 inches as shown. The instructions were for a small feather spinner not the large spinner as stated. The 62 inch height includes the part that is in the ground. Only 3 of the 4 holes lined up therefore I was not able to put the pieces together securely. Don't waste your money.

It is working fine. Quality control from foreign countries is not like from the USA, but it was not that expensive. The "C" shaped pieces were slightly bent so the screw did not fit exactly as it should, but it works. It was not worth the effort and time to return it.

NIce but missing assembly screws
works great, easy to assemble, packaging excellent. Only problem, missing the metric screws to assemble so it did entail a trip to the hardware store. The screws were hard to put in because of paint/ metal coating/ solder or some such partially filling the holed. This being said, we would buy it again

The wind spinner performs well but the end caps nuts threads were stripped ( in the Package ) so I had to use regular nuts which takes away from the spinners appearance.
