Not worth the savings

Decided to try a couple of these in order to save money compared to Schlage. They are clearly more cheaply made and look like it. And after a year of almost no use a privacy lock failed such that I could not get either inside or outside lever to turn. Had to use a pair of pliers to get the door unlatched. So I'm back on Amazon ordering a Schlage to replace this now worthless item.

Easy install, good quality, great price!

The media could not be loaded. Easy modern upgrade, took 10 minutes to install (doors had holes for locks). Look well built, nice heavy feel to them.

Great but noticeably cheaper

The kwikset version that this is meant to replicate, is noticeably better quality. That being said, this one is not bad.

Meh. Pay the extra $10 and get something better.

First off, these can be re-keyed by a professional or if you know how and have a Kwikset re-pinning set. But should you buy it? You can, as long as you understand it is of lesser quality than a brand name lock and it's not going to have the longevity of a better built deadbolt. It is made with inferior metals and the internal mechanisms are... clunky. They are not smooth, they get stuck, they just feel inferior. Will they work for your solution? Probably. But depending on how secure you want to feel you'd be better of spending the extra $10 and getting something from Kwikset or Schlage. Those are going to last - this is going to cost you more in the long run because it's going to fail much sooner than brand name locks will and you'll have to buy something else to replace it. The ROI (Return On Investment) will put you in the negative over the long term, and that is something you will want to consider. BUT, if all you have right now is $25, then it will work... for now.

Perfecto picaporte para habitación (privacidad), precio y calidad están casi a la par, el material con el que fue creado se ve muy resistente, la instalación fue algo difícil, pero si se pudo instalar, por otra parte, en la caja vino todo para la instalación, en si, lo recomiendo si quieres algo rápido, barato y bonito para tu recamara. La logística de Amazon hizo un buen trabajo ya que llego a tiempo y en buenas condiciones.
