Expensive, But {Almost} Worth It
Isn't it amazing how many doodads, bits and bobs we manage to accumulate in such a short amount of time? Isn't it also amazing how cluttered all that stuff manages to get, and when you need that one thing that you just know you have...somewhere...and you can't seem to find it? This is the story of my life. No matter how organised I try to be/stay, it seems life has different plans. I wanted a cabinet that was deep enough to hold my zip ties (my friends call me the Zip Tie King, as I manage to find as many uses for them as most find for duct tape!), and this was the only multi-drawer organiser I could find on Amazon that fit the bill. Did I balk at the ~$100 price tag? Sure I did. Many of us would. Do I think this cabinet is WORTH $100? Not really. But, taking into account that it IS made of metal instead of all plastic, and considering it IS the depth I needed for my zip ties, I went ahead and purchased it, anyway. This cabinet comes with some rather flimsy drawer dividers and paperboard labels for the drawers, but neither are what I would call added value. The paperboard labels aren't even adhesive, so I am not sure how we're supposed to stick them to the drawers they're labeling...and, as I have already mentioned, the drawer dividers are very, very flimsy. Also, in many cases, you will need to pinch the sides of the drawer(s) together to get the dividers into their respective tracks (note: when inserting the dividers, the tapered end goes in first with the wider end being at the top). The drawers have several slots available for holding multiple items in the same drawer, which is nice - because believe me, as you will soon find out, you probably have more doodads than individual drawers to hold them - and most of your doodads won't take up an entire drawer, so might as well put that expensive real estate to use with the dividers! By the time I finished putting Round One of my doodads away, I quickly discovered what I kind of already suspected: I was going to use more drawers than I initially thought - I have only two empty drawers left at this time. Am I going to rush right back here and order another $100 organiser cabinet? No way. I'll find a cheaper alternative for the remaining bits and bobs I need to get sorted and stored. However, with that being said, this cabinet has definitely served its purpose, and I know it will last (or at least it had bloody well better!) for at least the next decade. Oh, before I forget, one feature of this cabinet I really like is that if it somehow gets tipped one way or another, it's designed so that parts from one drawer/bin won't spill over into an adjoining one or out the front of it. I really like that, as I have a tendency to want to move things around, and if I jostle this thing a little too hard, I wouldn't want to have to go back to each drawer and sort things back out again - as I'm sure you won't, either! So thanks, whoever designed this, for thinking about that little but important detail! Would I buy this again? Probably not. I'd probably scrounge the internet more instead of just focusing on Amazon for a quick fix to a drastically-needed solution to my ever-growing pile of "stuff." But, I am always determined to get the most bang for my Amazon Prime buck! Do I regret buying this particular organiser? Not for a second.

Great drawer cabinets! I've purchased many and I'm back to buy more!
Previously, I've purchased 6 of these drawer units with the larger drawers (9 drawers per unit) and found them both rugged and supremely useful for keeping my workbench organized. Specialized tools and parts which used to be piled all over my workspace are now hidden, yet much easier to find. It's also much less stressful to work on stuff there. You don't realize how much tons of clutter stresses your mind until it is all cleared away. It feels like you can breathe easier when sitting in front of a clean workspace. While these drawers may seem pricey compared to the cheap 100% plastic drawers, they are worth the extra expense. I've thrown all my cheap plastic storage drawer units in the recycle bin since getting these. These hold more, look much better, are far more durable, and also fit perfectly into the standard kitchen-sized cabinets I hung on the wall above my workspace. That's where I keep the rarely used items. Here's a tip: Take the time to label your drawers. The fronts are transparent, but the insides of the drawers are fairly dark, so the transparency doesn't help much when searching for items. Labels make it much easier to find those things you only use occasionally. I had to learn this the hard way. :) Considering how much I like the 6 cabinets of 9 drawers I already own, buying more of the same type of drawers was a no-brainer. This time, I needed to organize the plethora of nuts, bolts, washers, locknuts, lock washers and other tiny hardware I use constantly. I wanted to do the same for a dozen different sizes of screws I use which have a variety of finishes. So, I ordered 2 of these 20 drawer units. They have turned out to be every bit as handy and sturdy as I knew they would be. In fact, I underestimated the number of individual drawers I would need, so I came back to Amazon today to order 2 more cabinets. I did discover one drawback to the 20 drawer units versus the 9 drawer units. The 9 drawer units included far more drawer dividers than I needed. So, I keep the extra dividers in one of the drawers in case I need them later. Unfortunately, the 20 drawer cabinets didn't include enough drawer dividers. I ran out before I could put everything in the drawers I wanted to use. They probably included the same number of dividers in both, but the smaller drawers are used to hold small parts and fasteners, which are normally grouped by category in a single drawer. I found that I ideally needed 3 to 4 dividers per drawer. I think they included only 2 dividers per drawer, so some of my drawers had to be used without dividers (I found longer things to store in those.) So, if I could suggest one improvement, I would like to see them include more dividers with the 20 drawer units. Small parts really require more dividers per drawer. Another tip: When adding dividers, squeeze the sides of the drawer together while sliding the divider into one of the pairs of slots. There are tiny ridges on both sides of the edges of the dividers which will lock the divider into place if those edge ridges make proper contact with the inside of the slot. Squeezing the drawer sides together so they make full contact with the divider during insertion will help. When properly secured, the dividers are far less likely to raise up and let small parts from adjoining bins flow under them. Having the dividers properly anchored on both edges also makes the drawer flex a lot less when carrying it around. Overall, I highly recommend these drawer cabinets. Every workshop should use them. They make daily life much easier.

Perfect for my application
I was worried after reading some of the negative reviews that it would be flimsy, and that the dividers wouldn't fit. Neither turned out to be the case. For storing miscellaneous nuts, bolts, screws and washers, it's plenty sturdy and the drawer dividers fit just fine. It came with 40 dividers (2 per drawer) and I ordered extras. NOTE: The dividers are tapered The bottom of the divider (and the drawer) is just a bit narrower than the top so if you try to put them in upside down they won't fit well. I do think it is a bit expensive, but I really couldn't find anything else out there that could compare to it. I'm glad I got it, and may order another. Finally getting my garage/workshop organized!

Much better than the cheap plastic ones
I had been looking at other small parts organizers on Amazon and found that most of them were entirely made from flimsy plastic, the drawers slid on tiny rails that didn't even go all the way to the back. Speaking of the back, most of them had none, it's just open. Many reviews said the drawers themselves arrived warped due to the cheap plastic being used. I thought to myself, can we even buy quality products anymore? Then I found this item. The answer is yes, we can buy quality, but it's not cheap. The outside is entirely made of metal. The drawers are plastic, but it is a hard plastic that is not flimsy at all. The drawers slide on a full width shelf that goes all the way to the back, which is covered. Overall I am very happy with it. The only con here is the price, which I suspect is slightly inflated due to Amazons free shipping. I hate buying junk that only frustrates me, so I think it's worth the price. There are many different drawer size combinations of this item, so check them all out and see what size works best for you.
