Long lasting slipper

Can wear outside to run to car

This is my rambler mule slippers. My first pair was over 15 years old and performed well.

I like the fleece lining, but unfortunately, it did not wear, particularly well, wearing out near the toes of a slipper. I also wish there was a bit more arch support, which I supplemented with an insert under the fleece lining.

Stretch -- a LOT -- in use

We purchased a pair of the Acorn Men's Rambler Mules in June 2020. I have large feet, and the Size 13 fitted me perfectly when first I wore them. From the beginning, the slippers started to loosen up: stretch in all directions. After 15 months of almost daily use, they are at least the size of a Size 14, maybe larger. I attach a photo showing the gap behind the back of my heel and the counter of the Acorn Mule when my foot is at rest wearing the mules. They have worn well, and they are very comfortable. However, I cannot easily keep them on my feet as I move about the house. It is downright dangerous to wear them going down a flight of stairs (our home has three levels, separated by 13 stairs between each pair of levels), so now I wear them only when wearing a pair of "hospital socks" -- thick socks that have rubber or silicone "nubbies" on the sole and around the sides to keep them from slipping on smooth floors -- over my regular socks to prevent the heel cups of the mules from coming off my feet. The mules are good enough that eventually I may replace them with a pair of the same model. But if and when that day comes, I shall order a Size 12 or smaller pair for my Size 13 feet.

Order in your regular size! They'll be tight at first, but loosen up nicely.

I bought these for my husband for Christmas, and he's so glad I did. I read a ton of reviews beforehand, and it saved me getting him the wrong size. I bought the exact size that he wears (10) and when he first put his feet in he said they were WAY too small. I have smaller feet, so I wore them around the house a bit in the beginning and wore the lining down. They were so fluffy that I could wear them comfortably (and I wear a 9 in womens!), but once that flattened down a bit my husband was able to use them. In the beginning he was going to return them for being too small and I told him to trust the other reviewers. It took a little while, but they fit true to size now that they're completely broken in, and he wears them all they time. They're soft, but not overly hot, and well made. My husband can't handle walking around barefoot on our tile floors because of his fallen arches, and these have really saved him. We also live on a farm and tend to make lots of quick runs outside without a chance to put on real shoes. These have enough tread to handle it, they're definitely both indoor and outdoor shoes. I would (and have) recommended these to everyone looking for quality house shoes.

These are some of the best slippers on the market. The anti-microbial fur inside is exactly what my feet needs to stay healthy. Fit as expected. Super aggressive rubber bottem.
