Best New Purchase
I bought these 2XU Non-Stirrup Compression Calf Guard in a Medium. I wasn't sure about the sizing I was right on the border with a small. But thought I would size up I didn't want them to cut off my circulation. I am pleased with the sizing choice. They are a firm fit but not too tight. I love that they are the LYCRA material which is very smooth and soft against the skin. I bought these for two reasons, I am currently injured recovering from a ruptured achilles tendon, and I am lying down a good portion of the day. So I wanted to have these on to help with circulation. Second reason is when I do go back to work, I have a job where I stand for my entire shift. I can't believe I never bought any of these sooner. Once I go back to work I will be buying many more pairs of these calf guards. I love the black but will also buy them in other colours. They are very comfortable I even forgot I had them on. I also like that they are SPF 50+ always a good bonus. They look very nice on. My only complaint for these is that I wish they were a few inches longer. My legs are very long, and it would be nice if I had the sleeve extend a bit further down my ankle. I like the way that these sleeves come packaged as well. Awesome purchase, they are exactly as shown in the picture and even after the first use i can say these are great for me.

2XU Fan for life
In 2005 I weighed 260 pounds and wanted to loose weight so I started running. Over the next few years I lost 70 pounds and became an avid runner. The main issue when I ran had always been tightness in my calves. In 2013 I started researching what I could do to help with calf pain and found many articles about compression sleeves. So I did some research on Amazon and after reading the reviews of the 2XU sleeves I decided to buy a pair. My running life has changed dramatically since. The first run with these on made a world of difference and since then i have had no issues with calf pain. In 2013 I ran 524 miles In 2014 I am on schedule to run 475 Pros: - They keep their tightness even after a year of wearing them. - Easy to get on/off - Hold up well in variety of conditions (rain/snow/heat) I live in the North west with all seasons and in extremes Cons: - The design does start to wear and peel after a while - After a year of nearly daily use a hole started in one of the seams. But that isn't a con as much as wear and tear. I got 600 Miles out of these and never had calf pain. I will purchase new pairs of these whenever they wear out and I am a 2XU fan for life

Can be worn 24/7, but will need a few washes here and there.
The one thing I've noticed about nearly all compression products is that they tend to permanently stretch out over time. These have held their own against such stretching, but sometimes require a nice hot wash and subsequent hot tumble dry to do shrink back into shape. Given that I purchased a medium, they seem to fit a little large, both initially and after shrinking a bit. I learn towards wanting compression products uncomfortably tight, since I figure "more is better" in this case. They have been on me through over 100 miles of races, and several hundred more in training. They're finally starting to come apart, with loose stitching coming apart on the upper part of one of them. I would imagine they'd last a hundred or so more miles before needing to be replaced, and I'll likely be getting another pair. I usually keep them on in the shower after a run, and even to bed or around town if I feel just a little extra sore. Just wipe them down with soapy water while taking a shower, roll down, wash your legs, roll back up gently to avoid stretching. They go a few days like this before needing to go in the wash due to them feeling stretched out and less effective.

Running again
For years, I have suffered with shin splints. It has always been an unrealized dream to run a marathon. The training would result in severe pain along the tibia mostly on the right just above the ankle. I spoke with many people who gave recommendations which never worked. Despite top of the line running shoes with expensive insoles, altered running styles and even running in the grass to minimize trauma, the shin splints recurred. Long runs were no longer possible. Only 3.5-4 mile runs were attempted just a couple times/week. I just accepted that my running days were behind me and started biking. Someone suggested that I try compression socks and I purchased these. Yes, they are expensive but I was willing to do anything to run again. Since wearing these socks, I have been able to run consistently for a week 5 miles/day. The running is still in the grass (golf course) with the same shoes. While there is a slight discomfort at the same location, it is very tolerable. The biggest test will be a long run on pavement but I am reluctant to push my luck. Just happy to run again. Can't wait to run again tomorrow morning. Sad to say that the shin splint pain returned despite the compression socks. The only reliable solution to the pain is rest.

Gives really good calf support
As expected, bought before and needed a new pair.

Good compression. Careful on sizing.
My size is 15.5 which says I should get a medium. I did and they feel lose. Small would be better compression for me.

amazing calf support
Brought these 2week ago. Iwill always wear them from now on, I looove them. They fit perfectly. Material feels great on your skin, I can feel a big difference in my calves when I'm out running. Would definitely recommend. Excellent product. Excellent service and delivery from amazon.

Great product
I read a lot of reviews and looked at a lot of products before deciding on these. I suffer with calf strain on my left leg when I go out jogging, my calf sometimes feels so tight it might explode so any relief was worth trying. I have to say so far so good, it can't eradicate the problem completely but it definitely helps, I noted one tip that seems to be true - don't take them off immediately when you finish running, leave them on a couple of hours and it helps a lot.
