Let there be light!

Moved into a new house, house had ceiling fan in kitchen (eew), and the light was a single low watt bulb. I initially swapped the bulb out for a brighter one until I could find a fixture, no help. I despise fans in the kitchen, I don't want dust and stuff in my food. Fans can go in almost any other room in the house, just not the kitchen. Enter this beauty, I was offered this for a review, and thought, yes please. Flush mount, LED, 16", and this should be perfect for a kitchen. The hardest part about installing this was getting the old fixture down, and dealing with a small wiring issue. Neither the fault of this guy. Once those issues were out of the way, this took maybe three minutes to get installed, it was the safety catch, two wires and we were almost done. The shade is plastic, but it doesn't look it, it went on, then the wire "cage" over that, a small nut holds those, but you have to kind of push the middle of the plastic shade up a bit to get the nuts high enough to get the black cap that covers everything to twist on. Again, maybe three minutes total to install. Now the kitchen is nice and bright, the greasy ugly fan is in the garbage, and I can see when I food prep now. I've never understood dim kitchens, but I no longer have that problem. I did set this on the highest/brightest setting, but it's a kitchen, if I were to do a living room, bedroom, or even a hallway, I'd probably drop it down a bit in brightness. Edit: I ended up coming back and buying another of these. I needed a second light and had some issues with light to begin with, so I thought this would work perfect, and I was right, so much more light in the space than it had before, easy to install, looks nice too!

Looks great on our kitchen!

Easy to install and use. We had to wait til we remembered to pick up a dimmer switch. But it's all good now! It shines right over my stove. Brightest setting is usually what I use when cooking, when I'm not it's lowest or off. Fits in with our beachy theme decor also.

Nice Bright Light

This is definitely a nice bright light that feels bigger in person than it looked in pictures. If you've changed out lighting before, this is the standard basic install. It's quite easy. The light itself, despite having a plastic dome instead of glass, actually looks really good. I was concerned it would look cheap, but it looks fine. My only complaint is that to change the light modes, you have to drag out the step ladder, unscrew the cage and dome, and then change to a different mode, then put it back together - in other words, it looks nice but the mode will be staying just how it is. I'm not halfway disassembling it every time I want to change the light mode, so that feature is essentially useless to me. This is a feature that *really* should have been accomplished via a remote - now THAT would have made it a great feature. So for the price and the issue with inconvenient mode adjustment, I would not *highly* recommend it, but since it does look good, and is quite bright, I'll give it 4 stars.

New Kitchen Light

I bought this to replace an older kitchen fixture that didn’t provide enough light. This one is easy to install and attaches flush to your ceiling. It is very bright and has three settings, warm, natural, and super white. I use the warm setting, which is great and puts off at a lot of light. The encasing around the light is plastic, not glass. It looks OK though. Recommend.

Easy to install, looks great !

I am so happy with the look of this ceiling light. It took my husband and I about 30 minutes to install and none of us are “do it yourselfers” . However , we did it . All I did was hold the insert while he connected and screwed it on. Before you screw on the plastic cover and metal cage you can choose from 3 different light colors , cold white, warm white and the super bright LED setting which has a blueish hue. The pictures are taken on the cold white setting. Oh also , I thought it was a bit smaller from looking at the pic from the seller, but it a tad bigger, which I like. I can’t explain why there are no light bulbs at all under that white hood ,just strips of something , must be like the newest LED technology or something. Excuse my lack of knowledge in how this works, all I can say that I love my new Ceiling Light.

I LOVE this light for my shower

First off, I was skeptical of an LED in my shower. But I did not want to think of bulbs burning out. Amazon was fantastic with the offer on this product. The install was…different. If you’re not use to a larger flush light to install, make sure you’re close to the ceiling. Once I had the wires connected and fixture mounted, I took this as an opportunity to adjust the brightness setting (do this as well and find out which one works best for you). I’m absolutely pleased so far. I’m curious to see how this holds up long-term.
